Women play a central role in caretaking in our families, and our communities. Experiencing intimate partner violence can affect their ability to keep a job and take care of themselves and others. A majority of women within the family justice system as victims of intimate partner violence often don’t feel safe and supported while in the family justice system.
Join us for a 2 hour Family Justice Education Seminar on Intimate Partner Violence with Kamloops EFry Senior Lawyer Odette Dempsey-Caputo. Learn how to navigate the family justice system, in a way that recognizes violence, trauma and the complexity of services, as well as how to access available resources that will help women feel safe and supported.
