Tweaks to Four Laning Plan Revealed by Kelsey Snelgrove

round 540 people attended the Ministry of Transportation’s Open House regarding the four laning of the TransCanada Highway on Wednesday, November 22nd at the Chase Community Hall. The Ministry provided information and answered questions on the new plans for the Hoffman’s Bluff to Jade Mountain part of the highway and collected public feedback. Key changes from the 2016 proposals are that the East Shuswap Avenue and Coburn Road eastbound accesses would be funneled to a new Brooke Drive interchange due to safety concerns. The proposed Chase Creek turnoff would create a 3 km backtrack for residents
