Fine Artist, Educator www.scherezade.net Recently, Scherezade’s work was selected as part of the exhibit Our America: The Latino Presence in American Art, and is included in the permanent collection of latino art at the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington D.C. She has been an illustrator for handbag designer Carlos Falchi and other firms in the fashion industry. Since 1993 she has had more than 15 individual shows, participated in over 50 group shows, and received more than 10 awards. Her work can be found in the permanent collection of New York City’s El Museo del Barrio and the Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of New York-Presbyterian, and in the private collection of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor.

is an artist, an illustrator and educator who has a degree in Art History from the University of Barcelona and one in Restoration and Conservation of Artworks at the Escola d ‘Arts and Crafts. Afterwards, she earned a diploma in Art Education at Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE). She has worked as an illustrator at Listin Diario, El Financiero, Global Magazine, Santo Domingo Times Magazine Leoncito E. León Jimenes, Entérate de Phillips Morris magazine, and many more. In 2002 she founded her own art education center for children, teenagers and adults. She has illustrated several children’s books for Alfaguara, textbooks for Editorial SM and SEE. Freelance Graphic Designer Gabriel has lived and worked in Paris since 2010. He recently participated in a design collective exhibit by the French Federation of Design held in the underground space between the Louvre Museum and the Place du Carrousel shopping center. Before graduating from Parsons, Gabriel won First Prize for Best Design and Second Prize for Best Packaging from American watch manufacturer Fossil.

Fine Artist Mildor Chevalier is a Haitian visual artist based in New York City. He is currently doing his Masters Degree in Fine Arts / Illustration at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York. Mildor’s works have been exhibited in important cities around the world, such as: SantoDomingo, Dominican Republic New York, Miami, United States, Nimes, Chatou, Paris, France, Madrid, Spain, Beijing, Shanghai, Dalian, Guangzhou, China and Montreal, Canada.

MORALES CHAVÓN 2011 PARSONS 2013 MAJOR Fine Arts in Illustration Artist, illustrator and animator based in Brooklyn, New York. He has a masters degree in Animation and Art Motion from Pratt Institute, 2016. He participated in the XXV Art Contest “Eduardo León Jimenes” in 2014 and in 2015 he won first place at the Premio de la Imagen under the Imagen in Movement category. He has participated in other collective exhibitions in New York and Santo Domingo and is currently an animator and illustrator for MTV.

Sone CHAVÓN 2011 PARSONS 2013 MAJOR Fashion Design She identified herself with the Japanese aesthetic of Wabi Sabi, which is based on the acceptance of imperfection and the transitory aspect of things. While developing her pieces, she questions the work scheme to create art pieces that combine the elements of her expertise: ceramics and fashion.
DARYVER GUZMÁN Designer After gaining experience in companies like Calvin Klein Jeans and Marchesa in New York, she worked as Assistant Accessories Designer in Womenswear at J. Jill. In 2014, she worked as Design Director in a one-year special project for the free zone sector at the Dominican Republic. In 2015, Daryver decided to start her own clothing line under her name, seeking to expand to the international market.

Sally started as Seasonal Assistant Designer at Sears Holding Corp. working and developing fabrics as well as correcting patterns for the fashion line, and drafted digital specs & flats for production. Currently, she is the Head Designer for Patrizia Luca, who supplies wholesale inventory to stores such as Neiman Marcus. Ms. Acosta was a fitting assistant for Century 21, Stein Mart, Versona and other retail stores around the world. As Design Intern for Sachika, New York, she managed and performed final touches on garments, manipulations, trims, buttons for the Spring 2012 collection.

Fine Artist As an undergraduate at Parsons, Joiri was awarded a Skowhegan (Maine) School of Art Residency. In 2013, she was awarded the Grand Prize in the Santo Domingo XXVII National Visual Arts Biennial.

Since May 2010 Patricia has had her own graphic design studio, Patricia´s Design. She held an 8-month apprenticeship with Swell, a New York–based fullservice creative agency for fashion, beauty, and luxury brands that creates digital experiences for consumers, apps for mobile and social media, and interactive publicity campaigns.
