SPACE PLANING COP-EGYPT

THIS CULTURE BASED PROJECT WAS INSPIRED BY EGYPT. PROVIDED THE SHELL OF A COMMERCIAL BUILDING, THE DESIGN INCORPORATED: A RECEPTION/WAITING AREA, AN ADA COMPLIANT RESTROOM, STAFF BREAK ROOM/ COPY ROOM, TWO EXECUTIVE OFFICES, AN ACCOUNTING OFFICE, AND A CONFERENCE ROOM. INITIAL SPACE - 1,646 SQ. FT.

INVOKING THE FEELING OF WALKING INTO AN EGYPTIAN THRONE ROOM, THE MULTILEVEL CEILING AND COLUMNS MAKE THE ROOM FEEL MAJESTIC. USING LIMESTONE TILES ON THE FLOOR, A NATIVE AND IMPORTANT MATERIAL TO THE REGION, GIVES ELEGANCE AND FORMALITY TO THE OFFICE. EGYPTIANS HAVE A WAY OF FUSING THE BEAUTIFUL WITH THE PRACTICAL. COMBINING THE EGYPTIAN LOVE OF ORNAMENTATION, MODERN FURNITURE, AND WORN CLAY TEXTURE ON THE WALLS HELP THE ROOM TRAVERSE THROUGH THE ERAS. DARK WOODS AND BLUES ARE HIGHLIGHTED WITH TOUCHES OF BRONZE METALS AND GOLD TO EXCITE THE FEELINGS OF ANCIENT TREASURES.

WAYFINDING AT AURORA VISTA IS ACCOMPLISHED IN MULTIPLE WAYS. GUESTS ARE DIRECTED THROUGH THE FACILITY BY LANDMARKS, DIRECTORIES, ART, AND VIEWS . THE OVERALL FACILITY IS DESIGNED IN A TRIANGULAR FORMATION PROVIDING EASY INTERIOR CIRCULATION. WHEN ENTERING THE MAIN CORRIDORS, AFTER PASSING THROUGH THE LOBBY, VISITORS WILL SEE A DIRECTORY WHICH WILL INFORM THEM IN WHICH DIRECTION TO TRAVEL. ROOM SIGNAGE IS PLACED ADEQUATELY THROUGHOUT THE BUILDING TO GUIDE GUESTS. BRIGHTLY LIT DESTINATIONS, COLOR CODED WALLS, AND ART SIGNIFY A DEGREE OF DIFFERENTIATION BETWEEN FLOORS. PROVIDING AMPLE VISUAL GUIDANCE THROUGHOUT AURORA VISTA HELPS RESIDENTS MANEUVER THROUGH THE FACILITY WITH EASE.

BRIDWELL RESIDENCE THE FIRST PROJECT USING THE REVIT PROGRAMIT FOCUSED ON CLIENT PROGRAMING, CREATING BUBBLE DIAGRAMS, ROOM ADJACENCY MATRIXES, AND CONCEPT INSPIRATION RESEARCH. THIS HOME DESIGN WAS A MAX OF 2,400 SQ.FT. AND REQUIRED ENTRY, FAMILY ROOM, FORMAL LIVING ROOM, FORMAL DINING ROOM, LAUNDRY/MUD ROOM, GUEST BATHROOM, GUEST BEDROOM & CLOSET, MASTER BATHROOM, MASTER BEDROOM AND CLOSET.

AN ENTIRE RESIDENCE DESIGN USING GREEN CONCEPTS UNDER 4,000 SQ. FT.- THE FOCUS WAS ON THE KITCHEN AND MASTER SUITE. THE 3 FLOOR DESIGN INCORPORATES NATURAL LIGHT USING LARGE CORNER WINDOWS, A GREY WATER SYSTEM, RENEWABLE MATERIALS FOR FLOORING, WALLS, AND CEILINGS, AND ZERO VOC PAINT. THE DESIGN PROCESS FOR THIS PROJECT REQUIRED CREATING CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS FOR THE KITCHEN, A CUSTOM RUG DESIGN, AND DESIGNING A MARKETING PRESENTATION FOR THE MASTER SUITE AREA.
