This brought us to google maps [street view 2019]. By systematically searching the streets on google, we were able to map out many more buildings. The ones which have truly been forgotten and fallen below the radar.
We are aware that the information is slightly dated however due to current circumstances, we consider this to be the ‘actual recognition’ of the sitatuation.

Whilst we were able to map out a large zone within the central boundary, we made the educated decision to assume the patterns would be replicated across the unsurveyed zones. Instead of continuing the time-consuming study of the whole area, we felt we had a large enough area covered to represent the problem and decided against carrying on the investigation any further. This enabled us more time to develop design proposals, giving use back to the buildings.
