A MESSAGE FROM OUR ARTISTIC DIRECTOR Welcome back to this beautiful space and live performance on the Chemainus Theatre Festival Main Stage. We are so glad you could join us, and so happy to see you. The name of this concert says it all Holiday Jubilation - a feeling of great happiness and triumph! My heart is full -- I imagine your heart is too! In our return to the Main Stage, we wanted to celebrate, rejoice, and take stock of all that is good in this season. There's so much to be grateful for in these songs and at this moment - evergreen trees on a rainy day, memories of Northern lights and snowfalls as families and friends draw near, the smell of holiday spices and light shining through the longest and darkest nights of the year. This is a confection of thanks and celebration – with healing strength in hearts coming together in one place under one roof. Thanks to all of you for attending, to the wonderful performers who put their heart and soul into this music, and for this season and time in the theatre to celebrate hope, joy, love, and peace to and for all.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR MANAGING DIRECTOR What an extraordinary time this is! The pandemic has touched every part of our lives and in certain ways the performing arts have been on the forefront. Theatre, as an activity that relies on gatherings, was among the first sectors impacted by the closures in March 2020 and now we’re the last to reopen. This time has brought forward extraordinary people and companies ready to make a difference and preserve the three-decade legacy of Chemainus Theatre. We’re humbled to share that Dr. Don Hilton and Gregg Perry, together with Island Savings, Duncan Iron Works, and Chemainus Best Western Plus, have collectively pledged $85,000 toward a Return to Stage matched giving campaign. Each dollar donated to the theatre will be matched up to $85,000. If fully matched, these funds will help us through the last of this ‘great intermission’ and put Chemainus Theatre on track to produce a full 2022 season. We are incredibly thankful for the generosity of this group and hope you will partner with them to re-ignite the stage so we can gather for great stories and music. The care and kind support of the audience and community continues to give breath to Chemainus Theatre and keep us looking forward to creating the best theatre we can. May your time with us be filled with warmth and joy – we can all do with a little joy. RANDAL HUBER Managing Director
