Review of Stereochemistry
Stereoisomers are compounds made up of the same atoms connected by the same sequence of bonds, but having different three dimensional structures. Major kinds of stereoisomers are : Enantiomers (mirror image stereoisomers) Other Stereoisomers (cis-trans isomers, diastereomers etc.)
Enantiomers and Chirality A chiral object is not superimposible on its mirror image. Examples include hands, screws, propellers, and keys
