Acknowledgement. I know crystals and crystal healing has always been a somewhat controversial topic, which are actually one of the main reasons why crystals need to be explained and understood better. Many might think people who believe in crystals live in a world of fiction. Still, given an infinite number of possible worlds, it must be true on one of them. If something that was set in an infinite number of possible universes is true in one of them, then it must be true in all of them. Maybe crystals are not as fictional as we think. I hope this book serves you well on your crystal healing journey. Have fun!

What are healing crystals? For starters, Crystals are naturally occurring rock formations valued for their unique shape, texture, and luminosity. From India to Scandinavia, our ancestors intuitively identified the power of crystals, observing how these magnificent minerals absorbed, reserved, and radiated energy. Ancient civilizations incorporated crystals into daily life, integrating them into rituals, medicine, and divination. Crystal healing is a pseudoscientific alternative medicine technique that uses semiprecious stones and crystals such as quartz, amethyst or opals. Adherents of the technique claim that these have healing powers, although there is no scientific basis for this claim. In one method, the practitioner places crystals on different parts of the body, often corresponding to chakras; or else the practitioner places crystals around the body in an attempt to construct an energy grid, which is purported to surround the client with healing energy.

Do they work? While no legitimate studies have been conducted to back up the claims that crystals emit vibrations that affect our minds and bodies, some stones can conduct energy. In 1880, French physicist Pierre Curie (Marie’s husband) discovered that putting pressure on various crystals – including quartz, topaz and tourmaline – created electricity. There is also some solid science to support the benefits of using crystals in skincare beyond the finely milled quartz often found in exfoliators. Magnetized tourmaline. Moreover, ancient Egyptians used crystals for healing and protection; sacred Indian texts explain specific healing properties of various crystals and how to use them to treat illnesses; Chinese Medicine often includes the use of crystals; and ancient Greeks and Romans used crystals for protection in battle and in medical treatment.

A look back in history of crystals. In 1609 Anselmus de Boot, court physician to Rudolf II of Germany, suggested that any virtue a gemstone has is due to the presence of good or bad angels. The good angels would confer a special grace to the gems, but the bad angels would tempt people into believing in the stone itself, and not in God’s gifts bestowed on it. He goes on to name certain stones as helpful, and put other’s qualities down simply to superstition. Later in the same century, Thomas Nicols expressed in his ‘Faithful Lapidary’ that gems, as inanimate objects, could not possess the effects claimed in the past.

Thus, in the Age of Enlightenment, the use of precious stones for healing and protection began to fall from favour in Europe. In the early part of the 19th century, a number of interesting experiments were conducted to demonstrate the effects of stones on subjects who believed themselves to be clairvoyant. In one case, the subject claimed to feel not only physical and emotional changes when touched with various stones, but also to experience smells and tastes.

Royalty or individuals in high social standing often adorned themselves with certain crystals and stones in honor of their revered gods and goddesses.

The 7 chakras and their relative stones. Chakra stones are healing crystals that have a specific vibration and color. All of the chakras have specific colors that can be used to heal them, as well as specific sound vibrations. Although we normally speak of only seven chakras, the human energy field is made up of thousands of minor chakras in addition to the major seven. Although most stones of a specific color will be the stone for healing a particular chakra, some stones may be used to heal more than one chakra.

Each chakra relates to a different set of stones. What the stones helps in and what the stones does to your body is based on the chakra positions and their corresponding stones.

Meditation with crystals. Crystals have been used since ancient times as healing tools for all sorts of health, spiritual, and emotional issues. When we meditate, we’re often trying to go inward to quiet our thoughts so that we can hear the voice of our higher selves. Many people believe that crystals can be used as a tool to help us clear that space and amplify our truthful inner voice, making meditation even more effective.

Here are a few simple ways to meditate with crystals that you can easily adapt to your personal meditation style. 1. Hold them in your hands. Meditating with crystals can be as simple as holding them in your hand and clearing your mind. This allows you to develop a tangible connection to the crystals as you meditate. By holding a crystal in your hand as you go about your meditation, you’ll naturally swap energies and vibrations with the stone and feel its effects. 2. Place crystals on your chakras. Chakras are a series of energy points on the body that represent different parts of the physical and spiritual self. This is if your intention is to heal through nature.

3. Spheres

If you need some grounding vibes in your life (don’t we all?), a cube-shaped crystal might be the perfect gemstone companion for you. Askinosie says meditating with cubic crystals in your hands can help you connect to the energy of the Earth. You can also place them in each corner of a room to protect the space.

Crystal pyramids are said to be powerful for manifesting your desires. “Their strong base acts as an anchor for your intention,” says Amber-Lee Lyons, chakra expert and founder of Chakra Girl. “The apex of the pyramid sends the intention out into the universe.

“The crystal sphere reminds you that you are a part of the greater whole connected to all the energies in your surroundings,” Askinonsie says. “You can imagine that you are holding the world in the palm of your hand.”

4. Tumbled stones

6. Hearts

7. Clusters

Consider tumbled stones as stepping stones into the wonderful world of crystals. “Some may call them basic, but I call them practical,” Amber-Lee Lyons says. The small, smooth crystals tend to skew inexpensive and easy to find online or at your local crystal boutique.

Heart-shaped crystals are not naturally occurring; they’re cut and polished into this shape, but they still radiate a strong love energy. It is to meditate with a heart-shaped crystal to activate your heart chakra. “Focus your energy and attention on your heart and imagine filling your heart with pure loving light,”

This is, as you’d expect, a cluster of crystal points in their natural form (and they’re oh-so pretty to look at thanks to their sparkle and mystical vibes). “A cluster is great for bringing unity to a space,” Mariah K. Lyons says.

Crystals for various things. Anxiety Wealth

Love

Stress can affect everything we do, think or feel. It can also affect our body functions. Stress can cause serious illness if it isn’t relieved. Early recognition of the symptoms of stress is essential. It will help to figure out ways of coping and save us from adopting unhealthy coping methods.

Crystals are believed to help with your emotional needs and many see them as powerful tools for specific purposes like setting personal boundaries. But, when it comes to finding the best crystals for money, wealth, and attracting a life of abundance, a shift in mindset is required.

All crystals and gemstones have different energies that can be used to enhance your own energetic vibrations, and some are uniquely suited to supporting feelings of love & romance! Here are a few of our faves, just remember to bring one along the next time you meet them!

Choosing crystals 101 Choosing a crystal can be overwhelming, especially since there are so many options at a range of price points: Free People sells clear quartz crystals for $119, while Amazon sells wholesale crystals by the pound for $13. So where should you begin? Crystal healers often say that you don’t choose the crystal, the crystal chooses you. In fact, your deep dive into crystal work begins with the selection process. If you plan to purchase your mineral in person from a brick-and-mortar shop, let your intuition guide your acquisition. Walk over to the crystal and stone area, close your eyes, and run your

hands over the cool, smooth forms. (Don’t be embarrassed: Shopkeepers who deal in occult accessories have seen it all.) Alternatively, if you would prefer to purchase your crystal online, explore the intrinsic properties of the crystals. To find the mineral that best suits your magickal intention, match its inherent function to your manifestation. Below are five terrific choices for those beginning their crystal practice.

Crystal healers often say that you don’t choose the crystal, the crystal chooses you You’ll love these time-honored minerals, but you’ll also relish the prices: No divination tool should put you in debt, cosmic warriors (how counterproductive that would be). Though these energetic minerals are powerful, they’re not rare, so cost shouldn’t be prohibitive. If you purchase your crystals wholesale or from honest retailers as opposed to high-margin, lifestyle brands, you’ll likely to find incredible deals.

A guide on where to keep crystals Every crystal brings its own vibe and helps us align with its specific frequency, so understanding the energy of individual crystals can help you decide what to put as well as where to put them for best results in your home. “You can use specific crystals in specific rooms to create the energy you are looking for — like relaxation in the bedroom, or creativity in the kitchen,” shares Energy Muse. There’s a good spot in your home for just about any crystal, so it’s simply a matter of figuring out what fits best where.

Selenite: Energy Muse recommends selenite for energetically purifying and cleansing the air. If you’re spending a lot time in any space, you’d want the vibes to feel-good. Where to put it: Placing it on the windowsill or coffee table is what Energy Muse advises, and I agree. I keep a long selenite wand on my living room windowsill, and in addition to its

Dining Area: Turquoise & Citrine Whether you have an official dining room or your living room’s coffee table doubles as an eating surface, you can use crystals to help you eat your food more mindfully and make mealtime extra enjoyable. Turquoise: “Use turquoise for promoting healthy and conscious eating behaviors,” says Energy Muse. We’re often so busy that we’re forced to eat on the go, so when we do have a chance to sit down for a meal, it’s nice to consciously enjoy it and feel gratitude for the nourishment. Where to put it: Place it near your plate. Turquoise is said to be helpful to those who have digestive problems, so it’s good to have near you as you eat.

Citrine: I would recommend this energizing stone for infusing your eating area with happiness and brightness, which are exactly the type of energies we should be inviting to our meal space. Where to put it: “Place it somewhere on your dining table or eating surface,” advises Energy Muse. Citrine points are gorgeous, too, so incorporating them into a dining table centerpiece is ideal.
