Trudy Knockless is a Jamaican-born award-winning journalist, award-winning poet, entrepreneur, author, actress, motivational speaker and online talk show host. She currently works as a legal reporter in New York.
Trudy is the recipient of two journalism awards and several Jamaica Cultural Development Commission awards for her dub poems and a short story. She has published three books, two of which are popular children’s stories adapted to depict the Jamaican culture. She is excited to be a contributing author in Dr Cheryl Wood’s new book anthology, “Women Who Prosper.”
Trudy is passionate about giving back and paying it forward. She currently serves as Chair of the External Affairs Committee for EHAS Inc., a Florida-based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
She hosts an online program titled “Conversations with Trudy.” The program aims to break stigmas, offer perspectives on taboo subjects and provide a safe space for open dialogue for participants and viewers.
