SketchUp Week 8 In this session we will be doing an elevation from an image that we will import into the document. We will go to File/ Import ... and then we will chose our image from the options it gives us. Paste your image on the red axis, which would be the floor. We will use the Tape measure to resize our image to the exact scale we want it. Just draw a line and type the measurement you want.

Then this window will show and ask you if you want to resize your model, say yes. model and image as x-‐ray Set all your can see where you are so you drawing (View/face style/ x-‐ray) and shape you your fabrics start giving like this.
We will start drawing on top of the image, draw a rectangle and make it a group, inside of it use the push up tool to make this block.

Draw the shape of the land, around the water.
Make layer for each part of your drawing: river, fabrics, land, image. (Window/ Layers) once you have them, set them a colour. Now select the fabric group and right click it, the select entity info, and in there you will be able to set it a layer.
Take of the x-‐ray option, select your underneath image and hide it by clicking the right button on your mouse.

Enter your river group and use the push up tool to give it a lower level than the land. Here it is, your final result.
