Kloe When severe headaches sent 5-year-old Kloe Ponce to the emergency room, little did her mom know that frequent emergency room visits would be the least of her worries. By the age of seven, Kloe was diagnosed with a germinoma brain tumor. Doctors discovered the tumor, wrapped around her pituitary gland, was affecting her growth. Kloe underwent surgery, chemotherapy and proton beam therapy.

During treatment at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Kloe discovered her love for art through Children’s Art Project. She loved the freedom that the art classes gave her to be creative. The therapeutic art classes provided Kloe with bedside one-on-one art therapy and group art activities in the clinic. In July 2017, Kloe rang the bell celebrating no signs of cancer. Now, she has her heart set on growing up and owning a dress shop where she not only plans to sell dresses, but also artwork!
