The historic building first opened its doors in 1947 as the Lethbridge Police Station, and was converted to The Mongolie Grill in 2000. (The new Police Station is much nicer than the old, but (I’m told) the food is far better at the Grill).

According to ancient legend, soldiers of the Mongol empire would place large warrior shields over an open fire and cook a feast with whatever food items they possessed.

Today, The Mongolie Grill offers a unique dining experience by capturing this legend with a round 4 foot blistering hot grill.
