On Sunday 26th September, Chiswick House will welcome crowds on the Cricket Pitch to see dogs and owners strut their stuff. Classes range from Prettiest Bitch to My Dog’s Got Talent, and from Best Groomed to Best Veteran. Contests will be judged by a surprise line-up of celebrity guests which have previously included Michael Ball, Mel Giedroyc, Ant McPartlin, David Tennant, Callum Woodhouse, Wayne Sleep, Neil Dudgeon, and Richard Lintern.

There are also puppy classes for families who welcomed a new dog to their homes during lockdown! The show is community oriented and family friendly, promising to be a great day out for all Chiswick dog lovers.

This year’s theme is 50 years of Glastonbury, and you can expect to see some fantastic Glastonbury- inspired looks in the Fancy Dress competition (for dogs, adults, and kids alike).

Refreshments will be available from a number of food carts, including Chiswick House and Gardens’ own produce cart, as well as an onsite beer and wine bar. You can also expect around 50 stalls selling a huge range of products both pup-related and not, including pet portraiture, canine charities, local artists, dog treats, RNLI fundraising, and every form of dog accessory imaginable!

The event is free to attend, and run by over 150 local volunteers. Entering one of the contests costs just £4, and all proceeds go to maintaining and improving Chiswick House and Gardens. John D Wood is sponsoring the show, and the ring is sponsored by Butternut Box and WolfeVets.

The Chiswick House Dog Show takes place on Sunday 26th September 2021 from 11 am to 4.15 pm, on the Cricket Pitch at Chiswick House and Gardens.
