alex’s lemonade stand foundation ALSF is named one of Charity Navigator’s “10 Best Medical Research Organizations” in the U.S. ALSF started out with one lemonade stand by its founder, Alex Scott in her front yeard when she was 4 years old and raised $2,000. Alex battled neuroblastoma throughout her short lived life and asked to give the money she earned to doctors who can find cures for children battling cancer. Since that first stand, ALSF has funded more than 800 cutting-edge research projects at 135 institutions in the U.S. and Canada.
EXISTING MARKETING STRATEGY ALSF hosts The Lemon Ball annually as its main sales driver but has smaller events throughout the year in different states. Some of its upcoming events are: - The Lemon Run (Philadelphia, PA) - 11/11 - Alex’s Table : NYC Dinner - 12/3 - Lemon Mixer (Kansas, MO) - 1/11 - The Lemon Ball (Philadelphia, PA) - 1/19 - Lemonade Days (Nationwide) - 6/1-9 These events help spread the foundation’s message & it promotes word of mouth.

The foundation also sells merchandise through its website. Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation also has an active social media presence. It can be found on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest. Lemonade days event BRIEF : During Lemonade Days, families, individuals, schools and businesses host a lemonade stand or an event to raise money for much needed childhood cancer research. In 2018, there were over 2,000 lemonade stands that raised $972,031 altogether When: June 1-2 2019 Where: Forsyth Park, Savannah GA Time: 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM Additional Info: Volunteers can help set up for the event & be a part of it. For every t-shirt sold, the buyer gets a glass of lemonade.
