On 2nd April 2022 The Harry Bell Memorial Ploughing Match was held at Little Salkeld, Penrith.

Thank you to Sandra Hewetson for providing the results and helping to organise the match.

Sandra’s thanks from the day covered everything. “It’s been great weather for the Harry Bell Memorial Ploughing Match. A big thank you goes out to the Hayllar family for the use of their land, also the Judges Kathy Whitehead, Raymond Timperon, Gerald Milburn & Alan Bowness, Brian with his food trailer, Elaine Johnstone, Sue Lowthian, Sarah Louise Ruddick for helping to sell raffle tickets & adding up the score sheets, little Amber Ruddick for calling out raffle numbers, Joe Lowthian for announcing the results, everyone who kindly gave us raffle prizes, Kenny Wharton for taking pictures & last but not least all you ploughmen who supported this match. This was acharity match for Cancer Research.”
