SALAD OF THE SEASON
Radish and Orange Salad Think you don’t like radishes? Think again. Though they can be quite spicy, they are beautiful, crunchy, and even—once you get past the spiciness—quite sweet. Here’s a springtime salad that features them: a little crunchy, a little spicy, a little sweet, a lot delicious. You can substitute any type of lettuce for the mixed greens. Radish Types
Although oval red radishes are the ones that most of us are familiar with, radishes can be round or carrot-shaped and may be white, purple, gray-black, green, or yellow. There’s even a multicolored variety called an Easter Egg radish and a Fire and Ice radish that is red on the top and white on the bottom. Any will work in this recipe.
