Composition Competition Nord Anglia composers in the Americas- do you want your work to make a difference? Be part of something special this year by participating in our exciting composition opportunities. Composing an original song: We are calling on your skills as composers to create an original song for the Nord Anglia Education Performing Arts Festival. The composition should be inspired by the following UNICEF Global Goals: 10. Reduced Inequalities, and 16. Peace, Justice and Strong Institution. One composition will be selected to be performed live at the event, and may be recorded for sale on iTunes to raise money for Tanzania. Composing for Ariel Winds or the Amernet String Quartet: For those musicians coming to the festival who also have a passion for composition, we are offering an exciting opportunity to work with Ariel Winds or the Amernet String Quartet. We are inviting participants to create original compositions for String Quartet or Wind Quintet (or groups of instruments within the string quartet or wind quintet -for example flute and clarinet duo). Eight works will be selected from all submissions. Selected composers will take part in a workshop with Ariel Winds or the Amernet String Quartet during the Monday workshop session at the festival, and then see their work performed for all students the following day. This is an amazing and unique opportunity to hear your piece played by a professional group and work with them to develop and experiment with your score. More details on submission and deadlines will come from your music teacher.
