MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR

Thank you for joining us, either in person or from your living room couch! One of literature's most enduring young heroines, Meg Murry, is back---braces, stubbornness and all. Once again, she's joining forces with Mrs. Whatsit, Charles Wallace, Calvin O'Keefe and more to battle the forces of evil so she can rescue her father, save humanity and find herself. In the end, we know two things for sure: 1. Good CAN overcome evil and 2. There IS such a thing as a tesseract. A Wrinkle In Time, adapted for the stage by James Sie and based on the novel by Madeleine L’Engle, is a perfect reminder of the power young people can have if they believe in themselves. The themes of individuality, taking risks, and love found in this story resonate with us all. Our two casts have worked so hard to create the world that is a Wrinkle In Time. They’ve stretched themselves as performers and brought such creativity into each of their roles. More importantly, they’ve created an ensemble of actors who support each other whether it be running lines together, sharing blocking with their partners, or giving words of encouragement. This evening you’ll see the fearlessness and commitment of these young performers as they take us on a journey through time and space. It’s been a joy to create and work in our “new normal” with this group of talented students. I’m continually amazed by their flexibility and persistence….and they always manage to make sure our rehearsals are filled with laughter! I’d like to take this opportunity to thank my students and their families, my theatre team, the Fine Arts Department and the entire NBPS community for your continued support. Dave, you’ve given the cast an amazing playground to create on. Chris and George, we literally wouldn’t be able to see or hear our actors without you! Our HS Tech Crew-Adam, Michael, and Amelia, thank you for jumping in and helping make magic happen onstage. WHO'S WHO Chris Petruzzi

as Fine Arts Director

has been part of the North Broward Preparatory School community for twenty-one years. During this time, he has served in advancing instructional and administrative roles including Fine Arts Director (NBPS), VP of Fine Arts (Meritas), and most recently NAE Performing Arts Regional Lead, The Americas. As a violist, Chris has performed throughout U.S and Germany. Chris is grateful each day to help our children ignite their lifelong engagement with the arts. Similarly, he is thankful to share in this joyful work with an exceptionally capable and dedicated team of educators and administrators. Chris is the proud parent of two North Broward Preparatory students.

Tiffany Lutz

as Director

Tiffany earned a BFA in Musical Theatre from New World School of the Arts/University of Florida and a MA in Educational Theatre from New York University. She currently acts as the Theatre Department Coordinator and NAE/Juilliard Drama Lead Teacher and is excited to be in her seventh year at NBPS! At NBP she has directed A Christmas Story the Musical, The Snow Show, Meeting Sam, Legally Blonde, The Day The Internet Died, Shrek the Musical, Xanadu, Outside the Box, and Beauty and the Beast. Prior to coming to NBPS, she taught and directed theatre in New York, NY. Tiffany has also served as the Program Director for the Riverdale Children's Theatre in the Bronx for the past ten years and worked on dozens of shows featuring young performers including The Little Mermaid Jr., Alice in Wonderland, Annie, 13, You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, Hairspray Jr., Mulan Jr. Seussical, Peter Pan, and Into The Woods. Toi, toi, toi to the Cast and Crew!

Jon Fishman

as Assistant Director

Mr. Fishman has been teaching for over twenty years at North Broward. He has been the Assistant Director of the Lower School productions for seven years. Some of the shows he has been involved with include Mulan, Aladdin, The Wizard of Oz and Space Pirates. Mr. Fishman wants to thank the incredibly talented students and Ms. Lutz for a great experience.

Sydney is thrilled to be a part of A Wrinkle in Time! This is her fifth production at North Broward and she looks forward to many more. Sydney would like to thank Ms. Lutz, Mr. Fishman and the rest of the theatre department for providing an additional performance opportunity this year.
