The craft and shop stalls along Warwick Crescent and the towpaths are always lively and very enticing. So come on down and join in the fun at this unique event. Kilburn
Throughout the festival there will be music playing, food stalls selling a huge selection of delicious snacks and meals, a real ale bar, as well as a variety of craft, canal-ware and clothing outlets. Children’s activities range from kayaking to a Teddy Bears’ picnic, Mylo the Mime Artist and Punch & Judy in Rembrandt Gardens.

There is a packed programme of events both on and off the water. Come on Saturday and you’ll be treated to a themed pageant of decorated boats, come on Sunday and watch boat handling competitions or an evening procession of illuminated boats. Come on Monday for more boat handling contests and a parade of historic working boats.

The festival takes place over the May Day Bank Holiday weekend 29th April to 1st May at Little Venice in Paddington, the capital’s most iconic canal venue, and one of its major tourist destinations. IWA Canalway Cavalcade combines a gathering of boats with craft stalls, a wide range of activities, entertainment and delicious food and drink outlets - extending along Warwick Crescent and the towpaths towards Paddington Station, onto the Paddington Stone Wharf and in Rembrandt Gardens.

Organised by volunteers from The Inland Waterways Association, a charity that seeks to restore and protect the rivers and canals of the UK, IWA Canalway Cavalcade has become a waterways highlight of London’s festival calendar.
