Sing We Merrily The Choirs of Christ Church Cathedral are pleased to offer Sing We Merrily: A Collection of Sacred Music, an album recorded at Christ Church Cathedral, under the direction of Erich Balling. Sing We Merrily includes favorite works from throughout the liturgical year, and is available for purchase as a digital download or CD at ccclex.org.
Sunday Worship at the Cathedral 7:45am in the Chapel A quiet, spoken service with sermon. 8:45am in the Cathedral Inviting worship with sermon, hymns and festive music sung by Cathedral Boy’s, Cathedral Girl’s, or Cathedral Schola. Childcare is available. 11:00am in the Cathedral Vibrant worship and music reflecting the breadth and depth of the Episcopal tradition, with sermon, hymns and the Cathedral Choir. Childcare is available. 4:00pm in the Cathedral Choral Evensong is once a month from September through May. The centuries-old office with psalms, canticles and hymns is sung by the Cathedral Choirs. Evensong is preceded by an instrumental concert at 3:30pm. Childcare is available. 6:00pm in the Cathedral Sanctuary is a contemplative Eucharist. There are times of silence for reflection, simple meditative music in the Celtic and Appalachian tradition and lots of candlelight.
Parking Parking is available for free in the parking lot next to the garage, accessible via Upper or Church Streets, Monday through Friday after 5:00pm and all through the weekends. If you park in this lot before 5:00pm Monday through Friday, you will need to pay the Central Parking meter.
