Day in and day out, Christ Episcopal School offers each student a superior academic program in a nurturing Christian environment. Gifts to the annual fund allow us to continue to be a place that celebrates the unique and extraordinary qualities of each student. Funds raised are used during the current year to enrich the students’ educational experiences.
Our committed, professional and caring faculty and staff offer the personal, individualized instruction which is our hallmark. Salaries and benefits make up approximately 70% of our budget. Your gift helps us to provide a competitive salary and benefits package and professional development opportunities, as well as the extras that make our classrooms dynamic learning environments.

Help students make new friends!
Tuition covers approximately 86% of the cost of a CES education. Annual giving funds augment tuition revenues. In addition to faculty salaries and benefits and academics, your gifts help support all aspects of the operating budget from state-of-the art technology, the arts, athletics and library to plant maintenance and upkeep, debt service and unplanned expenses. As the only Northshore member of the Independent School Association of the Southwest (ISAS) , we provide programs and curriculum comparable to those offered by other New Orleans independent schools, but at a cost to parents that is substantially less. Annual giving provides important discretionary funds to offset the rising cost of operations in all aspects of the budget.
The Annual Fund helps to provide need-based financial aid to eligible students, as we strive to keep our school affordable and to encourage diversity in our student body.

You’ll be recognized as a loyal CES supporter.
Our goal is that every family participates in this year’s Annual Fund. Many independent schools have parent participation levels of over 90% each year. When considering your giving, what better place than your children’s school? Family participation is a strong benchmark for outside funders for awarding grants. Unlike tuition payments, your Annual Fund contribution holds favorable tax implications for you. Your gift is not only enormously important to the school, but you will enjoy a tax advantage. Your gift to the 2010-2011 Annual Fund can be made in a number of ways. Cash, check, credit card and gifts of stock are all accepted. You can make your gift in person, through the mail, or on our website. All gifts to Christ Episcopal School are celebrated and honored. All donors to the Annual Fund will be recognized on our website and in the Annual Report, unless they wish to remain anonymous.

It’s giving that counts, not how much.
Many donors, corporations and foundations who consider contributing to CES examine the giving patterns of the very families and individuals who are part of the organization. Your gift to the Annual Fund, at any level, is a strong signal of your faith in CES’ purpose and the programs it offers your child. We have once again set a goal of $200,000 for the 2010-2011 Annual Fund and can only achieve this with your help! We hope that the first gift a parent makes to the school will be to the Annual Fund. Join your fellow parents, alumni, grandparents and other friends of Christ Episcopal School to help us reach our goal.
