COVID-19 tested us, and we were steadfast. ChristianaCare caregivers rose to the challenge of a global pandemic. We continued to deliver loving and excellent care, even as we transformed care delivery models to meet new needs created by the crisis. Through it all, our priority continues to be stemming COVID-19 and caring for patients who acquire the disease. The experience has transformed us. We will never go back to the way things were before the novel coronavirus changed the world. The lessons we’ve learned in 2020 have helped shape a new way of care going forward. Now we must secure its future. To support this new way of care, ChristianaCare has launched The Campaign for Securing Tomorrow. This Campaign will help us continue to reframe health care delivery and patient experience today and tomorrow.

The Campaign for Securing Tomorrow is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to partner with ChristianaCare in response to a public health and economic crisis that has changed lives and health care delivery forever.

Outcomes centered.

Unprecedented. A new way of delivering health care is here. The Campaign will secure its future.

We are focused on outcomes as we aim to be not just a great health care system, but a system that truly impacts health.

Digitally engaged. ChristianaCare aspires to make everything digital that can be digital and to deliver care in the home when appropriate.

hen COVID-19 arrived, ChristianaCare’s response was guided by our driving purpose to keep our caregivers, patients, families and community safe:

• We paused elective procedures. • We pivoted primary care to telehealth, reaching more people at home. • We reconfigured hospital spaces to care for COVID-19 and critically ill patients separately. • We opened two COVID-19 primary care centers. • We continued essential services like cancer and neonatal care.

Foundational. The $1 million Campaign will help us continue the outcomes-focused work ChristianaCare implemented during the COVID-19 crisis.

Challenge brings opportunity

Unique opportunity. The Campaign is a unique opportunity to partner with ChristianaCare in service to our shared community.

Equitable. We are committed to advancing equity in health care and eliminating disparities through innovation, diversity, inclusion, love and excellence.

Data driven. We are able, with accurate data, to improve experiences and standardize care while making health care affordable.

• We supported caregivers with meals, lodging, childcare and more, including utilizing our Center for WorkLife Wellbeing. • We purchased equipment like ICU beds, ventilators and PPE and trained staff in new ways of care delivery. Today, ChristianaCare faces both challenges and opportunities as a result of the pandemic. The Campaign for Securing Tomorrow will help us build new models of care delivery for the people we serve.

Giving opportunities Your gift to the campaign will enable us to provide services and programs that matter most to our community, such as: • Expanding telehealth to offer routine and chronic care visits and care monitoring via video and phone. In partnership with CareVio, our awardwinning care management program, we’re extending our reach to patients of all ages across densely populated urban regions and remote rural areas.

You have been there for us throughout our COVID-19 response. Today, I ask for your support in a new way. Help ChristianaCare secure

• Broadening use of innovative technologies, including Alexa, Twistle, smartphone apps and our Patient Portal, to monitor patients, manage their care and communicate with them when they are not physically with us.

care that enables us to serve

• Training our caregivers and providing them with the technologies to deliver care in new and innovative ways as we develop them.

Join us in The Campaign for
