“Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit. Acts 1:4-5
lifelines I'm not sure about how much of the history and heritage of CLC that you are aware of. It may depend upon how new you are to our church. But it is one that is rich with true accounts of men and women who not only pursued the reality of the Holy Spirit but who have encountered him in some very powerful and life changing ways. It would be so sad if all we had were stories of what has been. I long for us to have fresh accounts of what is. That is why I am giving myself to a personal pursuit of the Holy Spirit for my own life and for our church. It's a journey I am urging you to join me in. To thirst for the more of God that he has promised and to give ourselves in our daily living to search for an increasing passion for God's presence and his fullness in our lives. There are three things I want to ask of you as your shepherd and leader. Thirst for God and ask Him for a deeper encounter with the Holy Spirit in your everyday living. Make room for Him and make time for Him in the course of your very ordinary routines in life. Come to our meeting times together thirsty and open to God. Shun the tendency to rely on old patterns in our worship and seek God for a fresh encounter with His presence. We long to see God at work in our church family in supernatural ways and I am determined we will pursue Him with a renewed heart and passion. Plan to come along to the special 'School of the Holy Spirit' we are holding on Friday 17th & Saturday 18th May. This is Pentecost weekend and we have the visit of David and Greta Peters from New Zealand to lead this school and minister in our Sunday meetings. There is more information further on in this newsletter. Desire and longing are more than words, they are expressed in decisions we make and actions we take. God is looking for those who are looking for Him. Is that you? There are those who are reluctant because they have never encountered the Spirit in a meaningful way before, but there are also those who are reluctant because they see no need for any more of God than they have previously experienced. This doesn't have to be you! Ask your Heavenly Father to fill you afresh with his promised Holy Spirit. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you.......

Splendour is the annual Women’s Conference hosted by Trinity Cheltenham. The theme is that each one can be ‘more of who we have been created to be, by the power of God’s Spirit’. It says in Psalm 92 “they will flourish in the courts of our God” and we at Trinity Cheltenham will be looking forward to welcoming and spoiling you. We are already praying that God will pour out his blessing on all of us, so that we can all be more of who we were meant to be for His Glory! Though we are not planning to organize a group booking, we have made available some booking forms at reception for anyone that would like to make their own arrangements to attend the event
