I know you may have questions about your session so I have compiled a list of frequently asked questions and answers along with your contract and model release to help guide you through your session. Common Questions: What are your prices and what does it include? The price of a newborn session is $200.00. This includes a 2-3 hour in-studio session including use of all props, backgrounds, floors etc. Your session also includes 15 edited images which are downloadable from your online proofing gallery and will include a Printing release. No prints are included in your session price. Do I have to order my prints through you? No. I do not require a print purchase although it is recommended that you order your prints through a professional printing lab vs. a department store or drug store. A professional printing lab will have the best quality but ultimately it is your decision. What should I wear? Newborn sessions are focused more on the newest addition to your family. I will take a few including parents if they would like so I recommend a solid color top for each parent. Black tends to look best but it is not required. For your newborn a personal preference decides what they should or shouldn’t wear. Most newborn sessions are done with the newborn naked or in a diaper. I also have many wraps and props to use. If you would like your newborn in clothing that is ok too! When should my newborn be photographed? Newborns should be photographed anywhere from 2-10 days after they are born. This ensures we can capture all of those special baby moments and poses. After 10 days newborns tend to be a bit fussier and have a hard time staying asleep. How can I incorporate our family?
Props are a great way to incorporate your family and its activities! Does your other half like football? Why not bring one along and do a few shots with Dad in a Jersey with your newborn. Are you in the military? Bring along a jacket and dog tags to create a one of a kind tribute to Mommy or Daddy. Brining in special props is always welcomed. Having newborn photos that are tailored to your Family is a special experience. Brining blankets, special toys, hats, boots, buckets or clothing is always acceptable! I saw a photo online that I really loved, can we re-create it? Of course! Just send me the link and we can talk about recreating the image you saw. How long does it take to get our High Resolution Images or CD? The average turnaround time per session is about 7-10 days. At this time you can view your proofs online and choose which 5 you would like to download which will then be available the same day. If you would like a CD there is an additional 3-5 days added to the original time frame for shipping. Do you create printed Birth announcements? I do! Birth announcements are a special way to tell your loved ones that your newest addition has arrived! These are available ala cart but are not a mandatory purchase. What do you need from me, the client? There are a few things I will need from you before or on your session date including the following: o Signed Contract/Model Release o $200.00 Paid in full by the session date (As well as tax) o Newborns name o Date of Birth o Weight o Length o Any special message to be included on an announcement or collage Can I print my contract and scan it back to you?
Of course! This is an easy way to send contracts back without having to send them through the mail or drop them off. Where are you located and where do I send my signed contract to? I am located in Converse off Hwy 78. When you session gets closer I will send you a detailed direction packet. If you would like to send your contract just let me know and an address can be emailed to you.
Photography Session Contract: Please read through the following Release, Copyright and Policy information. By choosing "I Agree" you are agreeing to the terms and conditions of Christina Frost Photography. 1. Fee Payment. The total session fee due totals $200.00 plus tax for your newborn session, this shall be paid in full no later than the day of the session. (I acknowledge this is a free session and will be used for advertising purposes) The package includes up to three people and takes place at the in-home studio of Christina Frost Photography located in zip code 78109. * Returned Check Policy: All returned checks will incur a $45.00 returned check fee. In this case your session fee is increased to $245.00 to be paid immediately to reserve your date. If your check is returned for any reason you must pay your session price by either money order or cash only. * In the case of a newborn session there will be no actual appointment date made until after the birth of your newborn although your due date is put on the calendar as a session. 2. Cancellation. (Photographer) If the Photographer is unable to perform to the guidelines of this contract due to a fire or other casualty, act of God, act of terrorism, or other cause beyond control of the parties, or due to a grave illness of the Photographer, and if the Photographer is unable to provide another photographer that is agreeable to the client, then all fees paid by the client will be returned in full. Christina Frost Photography shall have no further liability with respect to the agreement. If Christina Frost Photography is unable to perform to the obligations in this contract for reasons outside the sole control of Christina Frost, he/she will not be liable for costs in excess of the amount
the client has paid. This limitation of liability will also apply in the event that negatives or digital images are lost through camera malfunction, damaged in processing, lost in the mail or otherwise damaged or lost without fault of the photographer, Christina Frost. (Client) Cancellations can be made. To cancel your appointment clients must contact Christina Frost Photography via email:christina0000000@hotmail.com at least 48 hours before your scheduled session time. Each client is then allowed 1 rescheduling credit for their portrait session. Any additional request to reschedule will incur a $25.00 rescheduling fee and must be paid immediately to reserve your new date. Rescheduling due to weather conditions will not count against your 1 reschedule credit. If a client is a “No Show” and does not come to their session there will be a $50.00 non-refundable deposit due to rebook. * Note: Please, also understand that all fees are non-negotiable. 3. Image Files (Negatives). All ordered images are kept on file for 12 months. Images not ordered are purged one month past your session date. 4. Viewing the Images. Your images will be ready to view 7-10 days after each session via an online gallery hosted through Photobucket.com. You will have five (5) days to view your proofs. All images are to be inspected by you through your online gallery. If you see any small items needing to be changed Christina Frost Photography will make minor edits. Retouching: Any retouching beyond the basic retouching we automatically do (small facial scars, blemishes, eye circles) will be charged a fee of $35 per image. Extensive retouching includes braces, removal of logos/words on shirts, head-swapping etc. If your child has any temporary tattoos, please remove them prior to your session to avoid the retouching fee. Once a CD has been made all sales are final. There are no returns on CD’s, prints, storyboards or albums, no exceptions. 5. Copyright. Copyright: As a client of Christina Frost Photography, I understand that the images taken by Christina Frost are protected by Federal Copyright Laws and that I will not make ANY copies or reproductions in any form (print or electronic) without the express written permission of Christina Frost. Reproduction includes, but is not limited to scanning, downloading, right-clicking, e-mailing, saving to hard drive, posting on websites or blogs, photocopying, printing screen shots, or printing in any manner. I understand that this is punishable by law with fines starting at $150,000. As
an artist, Christina Frost wishes to have complete control over the final look of her client's images, and scanned images damage her reputation as a photographer by distorting and devaluing the image quality. 6. Photographs. Handle your portraits with extreme care. Damage incurred as a result of improper handling, framing or hanging is the responsibility of the client. Although great care will be taken with the files taken at your session, Christina Frost limits any liability for loss, damage or failure to deliver pictures for any reason to return of all deposits made. 7. Model Release. Photographs taken at all sessions and presented by this photographer may be used by Christina Frost Photography for the purpose of display, portfolio, advertising, website or any publication to promote her business name and the images can be used without additional compensation to the undersigned.
