DESIGN REFLECTIVE FOLIO CHRISTINE JORGE

TUTOR: YOLANDA ESTEBAN

UNIT CHAIR: MICHAEL SHARMAN

Surrounded by the waters, A confined space, within its own limits, rather than the user engaging with it we stop & stare, to watch it engage with us It’s the noise amidst the silence of the waves, no matter how much it fades Microscale affects us, as much as we don’t like to think about it - because a small pebble can cause a wave of ripples yet doesnt leave marks like trees Documenting every step taken; marks of journey towards spatial change A collection of broken thoughts, Amidst immediate yet unconscious boundaries of inevitable choices, Left as a vision to either make a stand, or watch as we naturally blend without To feel the simplicity and rawness, an absence of overwhelming emotions, Captured movements through time, A momentary of activities, A joyful entry of light, a silence found, The temporary state it gives, the lasting mark it tries to make all within a world we cannot touch

10 CONTEMPLATION + COMPLETION BATHHOUSE - REFLECTIONS It was challenging having to decide and think through our “role” as architects in this world and our abilities to encourage a different lifestyle through the way we create the life of a space.

The design process was an interesting journey between understanding parti diagrams, to design concepts and all the way to the architectural programme, to which I have immensely discovered to set myself on a long embarkment of growing upon how to define the spaces in accordance with the demands of the users.

to which I learnt, is never easy...

but counted it a joy to design for ‘people’

To present my work, in the best of my abilities, knowing the next steps to take, towards somewhere, anywhere, and everywhere

Kind regards,
