Natalie is no stranger to hard work and knows it takes focus to make dreams a reality. After just a handful of years playing volleyball, she received the call of a lifetime: did she want to go to the Olympics? Thus began her journey to five Olympic games playing sand volleyball.

Professional Swimmer Takes the Plunge With Isagenix

Patricia Guerra has achieved feats very few have as a professional open water swimmer. In 2004, she swam the near-equivalent of a full marathon when she tackled The English Channel, a 23.69-mile stretch of water that includes turbulent tidal conditions. A swimmer can expect at least 10 hours in the frigid, 50-degree temperatures—without a wetsuit per national regulations. To endure the icy waters, open water swimmers need to create their own natural “wetsuit” of sorts: a layer of body fat.

Turns work time to play time Prior to Isagenix, Shannon was a registered massage therapist who owned her own clinic and Chris was a licensed mechanic in charge of running his family’s garage. Reaching the People’s Republic Expanding into China was an obvious choice for the Isagenix Executive Team even if some may have initially questioned the move.

“Isagenix is honestly a perfect fit for China,” explains Kevin. “You don’t have to look far once you’re there to see the pollution, hear the concerns about food safety and discover the concern people have regarding the toxicity they’re exposed to.”

In addition, the Chinese people often are “skinny fat,” meaning their bodies may seem to be normal in size, but they have high body fat percentages due to the foods they eat on a regular basis and contributing factors from toxicity. Research shows that by 2016, 60 percent of the world’s Type 2 diabetes will reside in China. With an estimated 1.3 billion people, China is primed and ready for a health-and-wellness revolution.

“Our products and education will be impactful, especially in the quality of life for the Chinese,” says Kevin. “But all of the concerns countries like China face are global concerns. That’s why we need to offer Isagenix in the global market.”

Vamos a Colombia Next up, in early 2014, Isagenix will open in Colombia, another country extremely amenable to the direct selling profession.

Nearly half of the population of Colombia is considered overweight and it’s the second most active Latin American country in the network marketing industry. Colombia is also experiencing the fastest economic growth in the entire region. Those two factors spell big potential for Isagenix: about $3 billion worth of potential.

“Colombia is going to be a huge opportunity for us,” Kevin shares. “We are ready for this expansion internationally, but we also know that reaching those with Latin American roots here in North America will be the key to our growth abroad. It’s all about thinking globally, but reaching people locally.”

International From Fashion Design Consultant to Global Entrepreneur Luna Pang-Reid was living in Canada working as a fashion design consultant when Isagenix Millionaire Peter Greenlaw came knocking. She decided to trust him, take the plunge and pursue the network marketing profession full time. Now, nearly 10 years later, the self-made Isagenix Millionaire has taken two other “plunges,” marrying Isagenix Millionaire Ron Reid and expanding her business abroad.

“Everyone should have a piece of international growth, but we first need to stabilize our local market,” explains Luna. “Ask for referrals to get going in Asia. In the end, everyone knows someone who lives there.”

Kevin agrees. “The best way to grow your business globally is to make connections locally,” explains Kevin. “Get to know your Malaysian-American or Chinese-American neighbors; ask your friends who they know from those areas and go from there. You can find so many people with connections to other countries.”

And, even if you aren’t able to get your business growing internationally, the worst case is you’ll build an even bigger business locally, he adds.

In It for the “Long Term” With three more countries poised to open in 2014, international expansion is not only on the radar for Isagenix, it’s a priority. However, Kevin says it often takes more time because Isagenix does it the right way for continuing, sustained growth.

An example of this “quality rather than speed” focus is the preparation that went into the products launched in Malaysia. Isagenix took the time to ensure the products were halalcertified to fit the large Muslim population in that part of the world and also be poised for future growth in the region.

“Generally, companies will expand internationally when they’ve topped out domestically, which is definitely not the case with Isagenix,” laughs Kevin. “We really take the time to customize the product for the market and focus on solid, quality customer service. It might take us longer, but we’re there for the long term.”

At 25, the typical college graduate is scraping by working the 9-to-5 trying to earn a decent living while paying off student loans and climbing the corporate ladder. Maybe by 50 they’ll hit six-figures so they can travel the world, enjoy more time freedom and drive a fancy car.

Not so with many Isagenix START members who are igniting their success from the beginning.

Emily and Hayden Vavra, both 26 of Minnesota, make close to $30,000 every month** and enjoy working remotely from coffee shops or boardwalks by the beach. Peta Kelly, age 25 of Western Australia, is making nearly $17,000 monthly** and traveling around the world to exotic locations and counting down the days to retiring her mother.

These 20-somethings may be bucking the so-called “norm” of their 9-to-5 counterparts, but they’re part of a growing trend of Gen Y’ers who are discovering Isagenix and leading the lives most 50-somethings have worked decades for; minus the chains of the corporate job.

Senior Director of Field Development Erik Coover says the more than 4,500 members of START are proof that this young demographic has discovered what it’s been craving: freedom.

To encourage the growth of this dynamic group of 18-to-35-year-olds, which connects regularly through Facebook, (Facebook.com/Groups/STARTYou) Erik says offering exciting incentives is key.

One of the incentives the group raced after was to achieve Director by the end of August 4. To do that, they had to help six personally-enrolled team members become Consultants, which means helping each person enroll two people with the Isagenix products each.

The prize (besides exploding their businesses)? Exclusive, VIP access to the 9,000-square-foot, Hugh Hefner Two Story Sky Villa at The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada for a special START-members-only party, complete with a DJ and all-night dance party in the lavish, $40,000-per night suite.

It was a prize that stirred up excitement all the way until the last minute.

“Everyone on my team wanted to get to that suite,” laughs 5-Star Golden Circle and 3-Star Crystal Executive Cayla Craft.

“People were hurrying to qualify two days before the party. I had 20 of my team members there. It was so awesome and huge for my business.”

For Quinn and Marie Moran, new Directors from Colorado, the incentive was the veritable “carrot” they needed to fire up their efforts and reach their goals.

“It wasn’t an option to miss out on this,” shares 29-year-old Marie. “I mean, who doesn’t want to be in the Hugh Hefner suite?”

Matching Success Audrye Moss, 22, was a hairstylist and a nanny when the parents of the kids she watched approached her about Isagenix.

And who were their parents? None other than Isagenix Millionaires and 14-Star Platinums Patty and Herb Cepeda of North Carolina.

“I said ‘no’ to them for 1.5 years,” laughs Audrye of Tennessee.

But, after leaving for ministry school and gaining 75 pounds while she was away, Audrye was desperate to find a solution to her weight and went back to Patty and Herb.

“I told them that if Isagenix actually worked that I’d share it with the world,” recalls Audrye. “I was also getting a taste of what freedom was like going on family vacations with them, so that was also really attractive.”

Isagenix worked (she lost the weight*) and Audrye kept her promise, although, admittedly, it wasn’t that difficult to make good on it.
