Eat Local You can never have too many great places to eat, and we have a huge variety of dining options for a community of our size. National chains, local favorites, comfort food, greasy spoon, pub grub, farm fresh, ethnic, bistro – you name it, we got it! You will find our diverse dining options “clustered” in a few key locations around Greater Springfield. Most of our national chains are situated on Bechtle Avenue – or as we like to call it, “41 Crossing.” You’ll find some of our local favorites including Ridgewood Café, Mike & Rosy’s Deli and Cecil & Lime Café adjacent to Wittenberg University’s scenic campus. Still more local favs can be found downtown where Fountain on Main, Buckeye Sports Lodge, Hickory Inn, Un Mundo and Mela Urban Bistro – among others – reside. A quick trip east out of downtown reveals still more national chains, and some great ethnic choices including Los Mariachis and Linardos Villa. Let’s not forget about food trucks. We have some of the best in the region including Christian Brothers Meat Company, one of the Miami Valley’s most popular food trucks, based right here in Springfield. Cooking up old family recipes, they specialize in smoking, grilling, curing, and crafting Ohio grown meats.
