EDITOR
Hey Clark Key Club! Welcome to the fourth issue of Charger Territory! The school year just started, and I hope you guys are doing well, getting back into the school groove haha. It’s also a new year in Key Club! The board has a lot of good things in store for this year, and I can’t wait to see all the returning members come back and also meet new people who want to join! I have a feeling this year is going to be great, and I hope you guys feel the same way :) I wish all of you the best of luck, and hopefully I’ll see you guys around the halls or some classes!
Charging Into Service,

summer SOCIAL
The key club summer social was great, as we got to meet the new freshman and volunteer. We started off by playing a few games which required communication and teamwork. After that, we split into groups to help clean up our
local park. Our groups spent about an hour cleaning, and we were rewarded with food. After the long day, we had a little fun by playing with water balloons and pieing the key club officers with whipped cream. The club raised money for the PTP program, while having fun. It was a really hot day, but it was really fun because I got to spend time with my friends and volunteer to help out our
community as well! — HAYLIE LI
This was the last summer social I was able to attend, and once again, it was really enjoyable! This year, I brought my sister along to get a taste of how much fun key club is as she’s now a freshman. We played the human knot as an icebreaker (my group couldn’t untangle ourselves and it was sad), picked up trash around the park, enjoyed some nice
hotdogs, and smacked the officers in the face with whip cream. It was a great day, and I can’t wait for what else the club has to offer for my last year and my sister’s first year of high school! — KAELA OMENGAN 6

KICKOFF
The teacher kickoff was pretty interesting overall. The event was at 6:15 in the morning! Everyday I would wake up at around 10 AM so for that event it was a struggle to wake up. The kickoff was split into two days for the elementary school teachers and the middle/high school teachers. During the event, volunteers just had to hold up a sign welcoming the new CCSD teachers and greet them. I don’t know if there were any new Clark teachers but hopefully I’ll see some familiar faces. — KYLE ESTIMOS
