EDITOR

What’s up Clark Key Club! Welcome to the eighth issue of Charger Territory! It’s officially fall (my favorite season heh) and I hope you guys had a great month :) Fall Rally South was earlier this month, and even though I wasn’t able to go, I hope everyone who went had a great time at Six Flags and ate some good funnel cake! We also held bigger events such as Rock and Roll Marathon and Wrestling Tournament, and you guys can read more about those events later in the issue. As the weather gets cooler, I hope you guys are getting bundled up and cozy, but are also continuing serving the community! Inductions are also coming up so get out there and get those 25 hours! Catch you guys on the flip side :)

PRESIDENT Hey Clark Key Club! This month we had multiple big events which a lot of you were able to attend! First, I hope that everyone who went on our Fall Rally South trip enjoyed meeting Key Clubbers from around Cali-Nev-Ha and also spending time at Six Flags. We also had Rock-NRoll Marathon and the Wrestling Tournament held here at Clark, and it was so great to see so many of you come out and help serve your community. Thank you to everyone who participated in this month’s events, and I hope all of you are on track to be inducted as an official Key Club member! I chrysia-ppreciate you all! <3

Serving as if it’s my last,

NOVEMBER 9

On Saturday, November 9th, Clark Key Club traveled to California in an overnight trip to attend Fall Rally South, held at Six Flags Magic Mountain. At this event, we were able to help represent Division 28 South at the spirit session, reaching the second round. Although we weren’t able to win the coveted spirit stick, everyone at the session had a great time cheering for our division in such a lively atmosphere. The rest of the day we were able to enjoy spending our time around the park and experiencing everything they had to offer. Even me, a whole scaredy cat, was able to ride a few roller coasters. Food was provided for free to all Key Clubbers and it was also a perfect time to socialize with other Key Club members from all over the Cali-Nev-Ha District. Overall, I had a wonderful time at Fall Rally this year, considering this was my last one. I’d also like to congratulate LTG Megen and the rest of the Division Leadership Team on a successful Fall Rally!

— CHRYSIA EDANO It was my first time going to Fall Rally! More importantly, it was my first time going to Six Flags!! I really enjoyed getting to know people and talk about our passions for key club. There wasn't a single ounce of regret that I had once we went home, because it was one of the most enjoyable trips I've had this year. I'm sure to keep this in my memories and later on make more (: I love key club and everyone in it. I hope that as time progresses more people will love it just as much, and if not, more!

rock n roll M I decided to attend the Rock n Roll Marathon because my friends encouraged me to do so. Volunteering was so much fun! I did both the water and Gatorade station. Even though the Gatorade station was very sticky and busy, I’m glad I got to contribute in helping the marathon runners. When people expressed their gratitude by saying thank you, it warmed my little heart <3. I can’t wait to continue to volunteer in my community and participating in more Key Club events! Rock n roll definitely passed the vibe check. — SUEBIN HUR

ARATHON During Rock n Roll marathon I had such a great time. We spent a good amount of our time preparing for the runners and getting water cups ready for them but then the fun actually started. As the runners started coming by we held out the water for them and got to cheer them on. Cheering them on personally was the best part of my weekend. I got to see a lot of people running and I got to briefly see the causes that they were passionate about which was interesting and very well informational. I also got a lot of “thank you volunteers” from the runners, which I wasn’t expecting so that also was a very nice part of my experience at Rock n Roll marathon. — TATY’ANA MELCHOR

wrestling

TOURNAMENT Wrestling tournament was really fun from what I remembered, since I wasn’t able to attend last year. I was able to bond with some of the underclass members that are in the club. It was crazy to see the 10-15 pins from the mat we worked at. PLUS THE FACT THAT THE REFEREE’S WERE SUPER NICE AND HELPED US OUT WITH THE SIGNALS. It didn’t smell as bad as people were saying from the year before, so that was a plus. I was surprised that I remembered two hand signals. There was a surge of nerves that happened, I ended up getting into it that I kinda cheered for the school that was undefeated aha. I would highly recommend to do it again! — CIARA RAMOS I went to the wrestling tournament on Saturday and it was actually really fun. When I first got there in the morning, the teams were warming up and getting ready to wrestle. I did the wrestling tournament last year, and it was very different because of the difference in scoring, So I had to learn how to do that. the refs were really nice, and helped us through the scoring, but the actual main attraction were the wrestlers. watching wrestling is kind of nerve wrecking, but seeing other teams compete was exciting. I got excited when I saw one school wrestle, and the coaches were giving the wrestlers advice to do good. I worked together with three people on the mat and we were doing the scoring, and the timing which was pretty fun. — HAYLIE LI
