Hey Chargers! Emilee back again with another newsletter :D I hope everyone had a worthwhile summer because we’re going back to school next month!!! Before we talk about school though, I’d like to thank everyone who participated in the two service weeks hosted by our DLT! You have spent your time helping the community and I couldn’t be more proud of my club. Very unfortunate for us to lose against Spring Valley in one of the competitions, but we have a social planned with them in the middle of August. Be there or be square B) With the new school year we will have more service projects, bi-weekly meetings, and more! Please stay in touch Clark Keyclubbers and stay safe, hope to see you all soon!!!

Sincerely,

Emilee Chang 3

Hello Clark Key Club! As summer is coming to a close, we will be starting online classes soon. Nevertheless, I hope you all enjoyed your summer corona-cation! Thank you to everyone who attended our interclub social & movie night with Spring Valley Key Club! And a big thank you to all the members who made paper cranes for the Cranes 4 Cancer organization! Later this month is our DCM, so don’t forget to sign up! During this month of August, it is very vital to recruit new members, especially freshman. If you know any incoming freshman this year, or anyone interested in Key Club, don’t be afraid to send them our way! We will also continue with more service projects for members to do, along with bi-weekly meetings! So, make sure to be updated on what we’re doing on our club instagram! Make sure to drink water and to wear a mask! Don’t hesitate to ask me or another officer any questions! Have a nice day :) !

Sincerely,

Bethany Antero 4

Clarisse Antero class of 2023 5

The past two division weeks we were given a variety of interesting activities that we all could do at a safe distance c: I was mostly active for Free Rice where you’d answer a question correctly in order to donate 10 grains each. Clarisse and I kept pushing each other to grind on this game and we ended up with scores over 300k ^^ It was boring at first but I’m happy I was able to power through because it’s good to know I was able to raise a LOT of rice for people in need !!

-Abby Herrera

I loved making masks! I’m not used to making a lot of fabric things and I feel good that these will be donated to people that need it. I would do this again!

-Melanie Garcia

I’m so happy to see Division 28 South coming together and doing service, even if it’s virtual. I enjoyed my time making and teaching the dog toys and cards to my Seamonkeys <3

-Feliza Cunanan

Free Rice was my favorite service project out of all of them! The hours spent on the app felt endless, but it was worth it. I was mostly motivated by the high amounts of rice that my friends had so it led me to doing quick maths until I got bored. I‘m very proud of the amount of rice grains our division has earned.
