Drawing God
C21 Director Karen Kiefer's children's book, Drawing God, introduces Emma, a young artist whose contagious faith encourages others to recognize God's loving presence. Explore our Idea and Promo Kit and online museum to help
children discover their very own faith imagination and join friends in faith in sharing how they see God on World Drawing God Day every November
Growing God
In the children's book sequel, Growing God, Emma is inspired by her grandmother, who "grows God” on her farm. Emma decides she wants to grow God too With patience, care, and faith, Emma realizes she is both a seed and a sower of God's love. The seeds unearthed in this story can grow into something amazing when planted in a child's heart Through the Growing God Project, kids can plant "Growing God" seeds, pray over their seedlings with a Growing God Prayer Ribbon, interact with the virtual Growing God Farm to see how others share God's love, and create a project to join the "Be a Sower” movement
The
Misfit Sock
The Misfit Sock, a family tradition turned children's book, shares the story of a sock that loses its perfect match during the laundry cycle and is labeled a "misfit " Tossed into a corner, the forgotten sock believes it will never be loved again. When the magnificent spirit of Christmas comes jingling through the laundry room, the sock realizes its purpose is to inspire other misfit socks to reach the heart of every child and become joyful gratitude socks to thank Santa, his elves, and his reindeer. The Advent tradition begins when a child hangs their one-of-a-kind misfit sock to fill with daily Misfit Sock Prayer Cards. On Christmas Eve, Santa arrives to find the sock stuffed with gratitude
goodies. He enjoys the gifts, reads the child's prayers for the Advent season, and leaves the sock for next year...and the tradition continues.
