Dues

The payment of dues is a vital part of being a key clubber. Dues allow for this organization to function. From helping in paying for events to providing money for scholarships, dues goes a long way to give back to the members. Dues in NJ are $13.50 with $6.50 going to the NJ District and $7 going to Key Club International. The following page details how to pay dues online.

1. Start to promote membership ASAP! The more enthusiastic volunteers Key Club has, the more change can occur in our homes, schools and communities. Dues are $13.50, a club can also charge up to $5 extra to nurture their treasury. 2. Gather member information and update the information of the Membership Update Center (opening September 9th). The Update Center can be found in the Dues & Reports tab in the upper right corner of keyclub.org. Simply sign in using the email and password of an advisor's account. Do not forget to delete people no longer in the club (ex. graduates). Once you have entered all the club member information an invoice will be generated. 3. Clubs can pay online or by check. In the case that they are paying by check, print out the invoice and mail a check to: Key Club International ATTN: NJ Dues 3636 Woodview Trace Indianapolis, IN 46268 4. Please remember that dues must be RECEIVED by Key Club International before the deadlines. Clubs may add additional members after the deadlines, so send in what you have by the dates and feel free to recruit more members afterwards. 5. Feel free to contact myself at treasurer.clarking@gmail.com or your LTG with any questions or concerns! Thank you and happy recruiting!

Recommendations Personally, I recommend that the Club Treasurer, makes a google sheet, providing access to the Club President and Advisor. This excel sheet will detail all those that signed up to be in your school’s Key Club. It lists the name of the person, their grade level, position, and whether or not they paid dues. The Club Treasurer, keeps track of this list, and at each meeting, collects more and more dues from those that owe. Then, during the month of October, the club advisor and treasurer go into the Membership Update Center, and pay the dues that they have, sending it in, allowing the club to get the Early Bird Deadline Award. The club then continues to collect dues and sends the money in to International as the pile of dues gets larger. This plan, ensures that your club is paid, and hopefully receives the Early Bird Deadline Award (dues need to be sent in and received by November 1st).

Fall Rally Fall Rally is honestly one of the best Key Club Events amember can attend to. A funny and entertaining opening session to get your key club spirit flowing and then an entire day at Six Flags, which includes Fright Fest. As Club Treasurer, you need to work with your Club Advisor and fellow officers to promote Fall Rally and collect registration money from members. Fall Rally is open to all High Schoolers even if they aren’t in Key Clubm so this is a wonderful way to recruit new members! The event is October 9th and to register, just contact your LTG or go to njkeyclub.org/fallrally/ for the registration packet. Happy recruiting and I can’t wait to see you all at Fall Rally!
