2010 Sponsorship Proposal CRIOLLOS CYCLING CLUB IS ENTERING IT’S THIRD SEASON! The team, founded in 2007 is still looking forward and very proud of its continuous and successfully accomplishments of 2009. We greatly value the supportive and always positive confidence of our sponsors that helped reach our goals.

Get to know an exciting media exposure: cycling! Cycling has been dubbed as “the sport of the millennium”. Why? Primarily because it appeals to everyone and it is a sport for a lifetime. From small kids to families to professional athletes, cycling has come a long way, experiencing an unprecedented boom in popularity on both the recreational and competitive levels. This boom has been greatly advanced in recent years due to the success of Lance Armstrong and his seven consecutive Tour de France victories. And who doesn’t remember the Astana logo on his jersey? That is precisely why cycling is a great opportunity to generate advertising exposure, increased public interest and an enhanced public image through the sponsorship.

Why Cycling? Cycling is one of the few sports that fully embrace company sponsorship. The club’s brand is entirely intertwined with the brands of its sponsors and therefore many references are to its sponsors. Team uniforms display the brand of your corporation over a season, which spans 320+ days a year. As a result of the athletes constantly on the move and in doing so, attract valuable public attention, they return a higher impression and retention value. Additionally, cycling has a broad multicultural appeal that receives worldwide media attention and provides its sponsors a large enthusiastic audience.

Sports Activity Participants (millions) Growth Since 1988: 1. Exercise Walking 80.8 4% 2. Cycling (Road & Mountain) 64.3 4% 3. Swimming 57.9 1% 4. Camping Vacation/Overnight 50.1 8% 5. Exercising w/ Equipment 45.2 2%

Cycling demographics cover four areas of interest: racing, recreation, commuting and spectator events. In light of the recent spike in gasoline prices, a surge in commuting on bicycles has been reported and is expected to continue. While it is the case that like most sports, race participation is male dominated, unlike most sports, cycling has a very large female recreational and spectator base with an increasing number of female racers. The largest demographic in the professional cycling base is affluent, upscale and well educated with a medium household income of over $80,000, a medium age of 38 and a college graduate profile of 91%.

Our Team Is More Than a Vehicle For Media Exposure! Our squad of cyclists will be competing in many national events that receive local print, TV, and Internet media exposure. Club members can be made an integral part of your company’s marketing strategy by promoting your branded products and services on a onetoone basis. The distribution of corporate information, posters and samples during events and while traveling impacts potential customers on a personal “grass roots” level. Combine this exposure with an articulate and outgoing group of athletes and you have a sizeable increase in the company representatives any organization would be proud to have. Our cyclists can be used for product demos, trade shows and presentations with potential clients. The club also offers a business building opportunity at major events in which your company’s employees and potential customers can experience firsthand the breathtaking speeds at race events. Also, the events offer hosting opportunities for your clients at high traffic points throughout the racecourse. The club has also been involved in corporate charity functions and humanitarian causes. The impact on employees associated with a team that gets results will definitely build morale and camaraderie within your organization. This in turn can be used as a customer and employee benefit as a way to differentiate your organization from your competitors.

There are different ways to sponsor our team and get great exposure. Promoting Your Brand Team uniforms prominently display your brand along with promotional items such as tshirts, hats and socks. Brand recognition within the media becomes an integral part of the identification of the team. Team members, friends and families will be cheering your brand at numerous events throughout Puerto Rico, identifying with your organization in a positive manner. Cycling offers your company a healthy, environmentally sound, technologically innovative and highly exciting sport. Mobile Billboards (Increased Company Visibility) Our cyclists will be rolling billboards throughout not only Caguas but the entire island as well, representing your organization. Your corporate brand will impact hundreds of people each week. Better than a conventional billboard, our athletes become a wellinformed, mobile branding resource. Highly visible brands such as, Tropigas, Ford, Michelob Ultra, Cabrera Autos and many others locally have all seen the very cost effective and positive results that sponsoring a cycling team have to offer.

Creating a Positive Image within the Community Criollos Cycling Club riders train, race and Sundayride several days per week in their cycling jerseys, promoting your company’s visibility year round. Your company will also be associated with a healthy and active way of life. The concept of a cycling club with riders from our area brings additional dollars and goodwill to the local community as well as your firm. Become a Part of Our Team! Criollos Cycling Club has a solid history of sponsor satisfaction. We would like to have the opportunity to meet with you to further discuss our partnership and goals for the upcoming season.
