Try asking literally anyone to describe their Future City, and the question will lead you into a conversation about possibilities, dreams, values, connections, and more. You might hear about bike trails, sports, or how people want to feel in the city they choose to call home. You’ll also learn about so much already underway to build that Future City. We’re all part of the movement, whether you live in Amelia or Avondale or Addyston. Your vision—and acting to deliver it—will help create that Future City where we all want to be. In this issue of Realm, you can read about how some people are thinking about it now and what’s happening to spur the conversation forward. Tell me what you think. I’d love to hear your perspectives. This issue also has a fantastic story about housing, probably the single most visible public policy issue in our region right now. Why? Because it’s intrinsically about those who live here and want to live here—the people who fuel our economy’s growth. There’s much more inside, and I hope you enjoy it.
