HOW WILL YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE? We Want You, To Join our “Make A Difference Day� Committee! Volunteers in Sarasota County will join millions of Americans across the country on Saturday, Oct. 26 for the 23rd Annual National Make a Difference Day, doing volunteer projects to improve their communities and help neighbors in need. Make a Difference Day is the largest community service effort in the nation, rallying corporations, government leaders, charitable organizations and everyday Americans into action. Activities include food drives, landscaping projects, painting, and any project to improve life for our residents. Central to the effort is Brush-Up Sarasota County, recruiting volunteers from companies and organizations to paint houses for needy families in Sarasota County. Please contact us and/or come to our next meeting to see how you can become a part of this exciting event that has been serving the community since 1997. Make A Difference Day, the largest national day of helping others, is sponsored annually by USA WEEKEND Magazine and its 800 carrier newspapers. Make A Difference Day takes place on the 4th Saturday in October each year.
