SPACE PLANNING

Based on the context analysis, the node placement has a different spatial quality

Anchor become the artery of the living systems at the resort. The position create transition against the entrance.

Water-splash integrated idea injected in the transition area, become path and node in the resort.

The spread of path and node generate a form filled out by the circulation of water in accordance with the concept of archipelago, connecting land and sea

Space that limited by circulation fill with spatial quality through the idea of biomimicry of coral reefs such as composition, mass, and direction of the building

KEYWORD EXPLORATION Taking on the keyword Journey, this project focus of bringing a travelling experience for the customer. The explorations tend to look on how Journey can be implemented in a space by activities, space models, and abstraction. From this explorations we learn about how journey is different depends on how the actors walk and see, so time and flow paths do matter in the space to create the Journey to the places.

The explorations give imagination on Journey that can be implemented based on surfaces difference which bring a different spatial quality for every actors, and a glimpse of watch to the other places. The habit that we learned from the exploration by difference of walking habit of each actors, we imagine different of layers which intended to control the activities done at the places. Therefore, we create a scenario based on the explorations to create the Journey experience for the customer at the BEER.A.RIA gallery.

Wood Tectonic Design and Construction Class (2015)

Inspired by wood construction od Jigo ku Gumi developed by Kengo Kuma, this installation is made by adapting the construction by simple way in Indonesia. The method used in the design of this installation is bottom-up, which started from designing a wood joint system that eventually arranged into a more massve form. Began from a trunk module then joining without the use of nails and screws, this installation can stand firmly by relying on the precision of each clamp connection. This installation is made by using used wood from demolished buildings for all the parts that are expected to be the beginning of a creative use of used wood with equal quality with new wood.
