BOLLYWOOD Story : Kesari is the story of Ishar Singh (Akshay Kumar) who is a Punjabi and cannot bear about the injustice that happens around him. He saves an Afghani girl revolting against his British master that changes things completely. He then gets transferred to Saragarhi Fort. The Afghans unite together and decide to capture the three major forts starting from Saragarhi. The rest of the film is all about the take of 21 Sikhs on 10,000 Afghan Army. Watch Kesari to know about the complete story.

Analysis : Kesari is all about the courageous take of Sikhs on Afghans which is unaware to the world. The first half of the film starts at a slow pace but it soon picks up and reaches the top. The background score, production values and action stunts are the major highlights of the film. The interval episodes have been emotional and elevating. The first half of Kesari lives up the expectations and keeps high hopes on the second half. The second half looks balancing and reveals several unknown facts to the world. The action stunts and the roaring performance of Akshay Kumar take the film to the next level. The production values have been top notch and whatâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s so interesting is that we are unaware about one of the biggest and proud revolts of Sikhs. Story : Badla is the story of Naina Sethi (Taapsee Pannu) who is named as the business person of the year. She is back into the news as the accused in her boyfriendâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s murder case. The murder of Arjun (Tony Luke) takes place in a hotel. It is during this time, Badal Gupta (Amitabh Bachchan) who is named as the best lawyers of the country comes to help out Naina. He gives her three hours to say everything about the incident and Arjun. The rest of Badla is all about the truth she reveals and what happens next. Watch Badla to know about the real truth behind the crime.

Analysis : Within the first ten minutes, the audience will be lost and will be taken to a new world of investigation. The crime thriller is brilliantly written and every scene from the film has been well penned and executed. The film has a bunch of twists and the biggest challenge is revealing them out at the right time. Sujoy Ghosh is highly successful and narrates the entire film with utmost perfection. The first half of Badla is written and presented top notch.

The second half of Badla too continues to win the hearts of the audience. The film has enough flaws in the second half and some of the moments are predictable. Still, Badla stands tall and will end up as one of the best films in the recent times. The technical aspects have been well used and they will help the film reach to the next level. TOLLYWOOD Story : 118 narrates about the story of a tv journalist Gowtham (Kalyanram) who captures an incident. He gets haunted by a dream after this which leaves him disturbed. Gowtham falls in love with Megha (Shalini Pandey) and he starts his investigation about the haunted dream. It is during this time, he comes to know about Aadhya (Nivetha Thomas) and the rest of 118 is all about the entire story of Aadhya and what happens to her. 118 is all about how Gowtham nabs the real culprits. Watch the film to know about the twists in the film.

Analysis : The first half of 118 is crisp, racy and makes a fine watch. There is not a single scene that is unwanted. The editing work is crisp and top notch. KV Guhan managed to excel with his cinematography work which is the major highlight of the film. Kalyanram stands tall and delivered out his best. The first half of 118 has all the ingredients in the right amounts and makes it a decent watch. The second half of 118 reveals the suspense and explains about Aadhyaâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s backstory. The second half hasnâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t been penned well and should have been much better. The film looks classy and it appeals strictly to multiplex audience. The film lacks entertainment and happens on a serious note throughout. Though the film dips down at times, it soon returns back with a twist. The second half, on the whole looks ok.

Story : Lakshmi’s NTR starts off by showcasing how love blossomed between NT Rama Rao and his autobiographer Lakshmi Parvathi. The film takes the audiences back to the late 80s and ends with NTR’s demise. How NTR’s marriage to Lakshmi Parvathi gave rise to the revolts by his family members and the ‘Mana Desam’ party MLAs, led by NTR’s son-in-law CB Naidu forms the main crux of the story. Several landmark political episodes that took place in NTR being dethroned from the CM’s chair are retold in typical RGV’s style. To know how these are showcased, watch the film on a big screen.

Analysis : The commendable performances by the film’s lead cast are the major highlights of Lakshmi’s NTR. RGV is a maverick in casting the right actors in all his movies is a well-known fact and he does it yet again with Lakshmi’s NTR. Debutant P Vijay Kumar, who played NTR, impresses with a solid act. His performance in the second half of the movie, especially in the pre-climax and climax scenes, will move the audiences emotionally.

Kannada actress, Yagna Shetty plays Lakshmi Parvathi with a lot of poignance. The way she brings out her vulnerability in the scenes where she is entangled in the family tirade against her and NTR after their marriage deserves special mention. The young hero, Shri Tej as CB Naidu, NTR’s shrewd son-in-law and the mastermind behind the ‘great betrayal’ on NTR, is brilliant. Rest of the actors who played NTR’s children Harikrishna, Balakrishna and Purandheswari are adequate and they evoke a strong response from the audience.

It follows the events leading to the Battle of Saragarhi, a battle between the Colonial British and the Afghan nationals, specifically 21 soldiers of the Sikh Regiment of the British Army and 6,000â&#x20AC;&#x201C;10,000 Afridi and Orakzai mountain tribesmen from Afghanistan in 1897. Initially planned as a production collaboration between Salman Khan and Johar with Kumar starring in the lead role, Kesari was announced in October 2017, with Kumar and Johar reprising their responsibilities; Khan later quit the project. Chopra was cast as the deceased wife of Kumar's character. Principal photography for the film began in January 2018 and concluded in December. The soundtrack was composed by Tanishk Bagchi, Arko Pravo Mukherjee, Chirantan Bhatt, Jasbir Jassi, Gurmoh and Jasleen Royal with lyrics written by Kumaar, Manoj Muntashir, Kunwar Juneja and Bagchi. Produced on a budget of Rs 80 crore, the film was distributed internationally by Zee Studios. The film was released in India during the Holi festival, on 21 March 2019. The movie received positive reviews from critics; it had a good start at the box office, while the opening day morning collection was affected by Holi-related celebrations. The film grossed over Rs 100 crore worldwide in its opening weekend. It has made its place in the list of top five highest grossing Bollywood films of 2019 in its opening week. Akshay Kumar's performance received top-notch response from the audience.

Tell us about your role? Suryakantam is an independent and happy go lucky girl who does not have any long term goals. She likes to live in the moment without any regards to others. So, how a girl like me fell in love is the whole story of the film.

Any title justification in the film? Of course, I play the title role and moreover, Suryakantam, the name itself is a conflict point in the film. The movie completely revolves around Suryakantam's character and behavior.

A few words about your hero? Rahul is a very comfortable co-star to act with. We both used to be friendly on sets and that clearly reflects on the screen. He is a good actor.

The film was released on 8 March 2019 and it received positive reviews from critics. It has grossed over Rs 130 crore worldwide against a production budget of Rs 10 crore to emerge as a commercial success. On 11 February 2019, Shah Rukh Khan, whose production house Red Chillies Entertainment is producing the film, tweeted two first look posters of the film, one with Bachchan's character and another with Pannu's. The film was released on International Women's Day, 8 March 2019. The film was certified by the British Board of Film Classification with a runtime of 118 minutes. On 12 February 2019, Red Chillies Entertainment posted the official trailer on YouTube. The trailer reached 252K views within 1 hour and has garnered 28 million views since the day of release. In its opening weekend, Badla collected Rs 27.38 crore from the domestic market. As of 31 March 2019, the domestic gross is Rs 96.56 crore and overseas gross is Rs 33.56 crore taking the worldwide gross collection to Rs 130.12 crore.

Going by domestic net collection the film falls among the top ten films in the list of the highest domestic net collection of Hindi films. The film is divided into five chapters: The Seven Sisters, An Unsettling Peace, Bleed India with a Thousand Cuts, Naya Hindustan (New India) and The Surgical Strike. Vicky Kaushal played Major Vihaan Singh Shergill in the film and his performance received a standing ovation. Uri was announced by producer Ronnie Screwvala after one year of the surgical strike in September 2017. The film was directed by debutant Aditya Dhar. Kaushal went through extensive military training for five months and gained weight. He trained for five hours a day and three to four hours of military training to enhance the stamina. He also received gun training at the naval base in Cuffe Parade in Mumbai.
