Lucky who is in plans to fly US falls in love with Spandana (Shruti Haasan) at first sight and in parallel a string rivalry goes between Ram and Shiva Reddy (Ravi Kishan), an aspiring evil politician. Movie starts with a bomb blast at People’s Plaza in Hyderabad. After few months Anaamika (Nayantara), arrives in Hyderabad from Maryland, USA during the Durga Puja festivities in search of her missing husband, Ajay Shastri (Harshavardhan Rane) a software engineer in America. Parthasaradhi (Vaibhav Reddy), a police officer, investigates the case to find Ajay Shastri. Rest of the film deals with how Anaamika finds her missing husband with a stunning twist in the climax.

The fight before the interval bang sets a moment for the film and post interval, the film goes into serious mode. There are several funny moments in the second half too.
Written by Vakkantham Vamsi, Race Gurram revolves around the story of two brothers Ram (Kick Shyam) and Lucky (Allu Arjun), who do things differently. While one brother follows rules and regulations, the other tries to achieve it in his own way. How Ram becomes a rival to Lucky? What will happen next? The rest of the film will answer these questions. As usual, Allu Arjun has delivered wonderful performance in Race Gurram. He impresses the viewers with his action, dance and comedy timing. With his trendy costumes, the actor has set a new style statement for himself in this movie. Shruti Hassan has also done her best and rock you with her glamour. Saloni Aswani and Shaam, who have important roles in it, have done justice to their characters. As Kill Bill Pandey and Mr Bean Prakash, Bramhanandam and Prakash Raj tickle the funny bones of the viewers. As MLA Govardhan, Posani Krishna Murali also creates a laugh riot in the cinema halls. His background score helps the director to heighten the effect of many scenes. Cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa has also done brilliant job, which is one of the big assets of the film. Especially, his picturisation of beautiful locales in song sequences is a visual treat. R a m - L a k s h m a n ’ s choreography of fight sequences is good and one of the attractions in Race Gurram. The dance choreography is another big asset of the film. The selection of costumes and location is fantastic. The art direction is good and beautiful. Goutham Raju’s editing is also commendable. The director is successful in tapping out right kind of work from all the technical department.
Race Gurram has its share of positives and negatives. This film is a strictly one time watch for those who are craving for entertainment. Movie lovers may not be pleased with this pop corn entertainment and a film that doesn’t take itself seriously.

The movie is a romantic journey of a culturally opposite couple - Krish Malhotra (Arjun Kapoor) and Ananya Swaminathan(Alia Bhatt). They meet at the IIM-Ahmedabad College and during the program they fall in love. Complications arise after the program comes to an end and they decide to get married. Krish and Ananya belong to two different states of India. Krish is a North Indian Punjabi boy from Delhi, and Ananya is a Tamilian Brahmin from Chennai. They take a conscious decision, they won’t get married until their parents
agree. Everything goes downhill when the parents meet. There is a cultural clash and the parents oppose the wedding. To convert their love story into a love marriage, the couple faces a tough battle in front of them. For it is easy to fight and rebel, but much harder to convince. Will Krish and Ananya’s love for each other sustain the battles? Will they manage to convince their parents and make it to their wedding? The film is a humorous take on inter community marriages in India.

Abhishek Varman with some superb performances and hillarious punch lines surely has a lot of freshness in the seemingly not so fresh story. Arjun’s innocence and Alia’s bindass attitude with some wow going intimate scenes will surely bring a wide smile on your faces. On the other side, Amrita Singh as a typical Punjabi mom was too good with some really catchy lines and Revathy as a sweet simple Tamil amma did all justice to her role. The on-screen chemistry between Alia and Arjun surely did wonders for the film and you will just go woo when Alia surprised Arjun with a sudden passionate kiss when the latter admits his love for the Tamil beauty. There are a couple of intimate scenes and kisses which follows and the duo has done it with real ease.

As you all know the ghost ‘Bhootnath’ went back to heaven in the first film (BHOOTNATH, 2008). In the second part, the film opens with everyone in heaven laughing at him as he has failed to scare a child and has caused embarrassment to the ghost community. And so he comes down to earth once again to prove that he is a scary ghost.
‘Cinema integrates people rather than separating them.’ There is a dialogue in the film that says if songs become hit, the film becomes superhit. Do you agree? I think so, if the songs become popular, the film also proves successful at the box office. But then, it is just a dialogue in the film. If it works for us, then it will be great. hum the same songs, laugh at the same jokes and cry at the same emotion. In this disintegrating world today, cinema is that one medium that integrates people rather than separating them. I am happy to be a small part of the fraternity.

harmi Kaur, who will soon be seen in upcoming Telugu womencentric film “Pratighatana”, didn’t take any remuneration because she really loved the subject of the film, which is inspired by the Nirbhaya rape incident. The film’s music composer M.M Keeravani also worked free of cost. “Charmi loved her character so much that she decided to do it free of cost. Keeravani wanted to offer his music as a tribute to Nirbhaya. I think this is their way of playing tribute to her,” the film’s director Thammareddy Bharadwaja told IANS.

he building, begun in 1230, replaced a previous cathedral of the IX century, entitled Santa Maria. The cupola (or Dome) was added in 1264, but in the 1300s the church was completely transformed: the central nave was raised and illuminated by trifora (threearched) windows, the façade was worked on by, amongst others, Giovanni Pisano, the chorus was changed, and above all, the transept was widened, in the ambitious attempt to transform the cathedral into the biggest temple of Christianity. Of this last insane widening, begun in the first half of the 1300s and interrupted by the terrible plague of 1348 (as well as by the collapse of some of the structures), there remain traces of the structures effectively built on the left side of the current Duomo: the so-called ‘facciatona’, the columns of the three naves and a part of the left side, where you can see what is certainly the most brilliant door of the Sienese Gothic. Lakshmi Manchu has been one of the few actresses in Tollywood, who has been constantly doing films with an edge. Time and again, she has proved herself, and now she is back with an unconventional role in Chandamama Kathalu. On the eve of the film’s release, we caught up with Lakshmi Manchu for an interview. Let’s see what she has to say.
Q) How is the pre-release buzz for Chandamam Kathalu ? A) The buzz is amazing, and I should thank the media for promoting our film well. I have my fingers crossed, and hope people like my role. Q) What made you accept a role like this ? A) The day I heard the script, I knew I wanted to do this film. Very rarely in Telugu films, one gets to portray a unconventional role like this. I want to break the mould of stereo types with this film. Q) Tell us some thing about your role ? A) I play Lisa Smith, a super model in this film. My character goes through a lot of ups and down, and how if fight back is the whole story.

Q) There are many stories in the film. Do they have any connectivity with each other ? A) Yes ! at a point of time during the course of the film, they do have a connection. Q) How did you manage to pull off scenes featuring smoking and drinking ? A) Initially I was very sceptical to smoke or drink on screen. But as my character demanded these scenes, I went ahead and did them professionally. A lot of research and preparation went into my role. I observed a lot of lady characters who smoke or drink in films and did it in my own way. Q) Did your dad, Mohan Babu garu watch the film ? A) No ! he did not watch the film. I will show him the film soon and am very eager to know, how would he react to my bold character in this flick. Q) Why have you been so selective with your films ? A) I need to first like the role that I am offered. I just don’t want to do every role that comes my way. My character should excite me and should be challenging enough for me to portray. Q) What’s your take on politics. There have been strong rumours that you are entering active politics ? A) Yes ! I have been approached by many parties to enter politics. I am definitely interested to join politics, but this is not the right time. May be after three or four years, I will surely get into active politics. Q) Tell us about your future projects ? A) I am done with a short film, which I will release once the elections are done. One of my own films is in the pre-production stage, and will soon go on sets.

With the arrival of new actors in early 80s and the themes which gained prominence, K Raghavendra Rao began working with the younger lot. Venkatesh’s debut film Kaliyuga Pandavulu, Nagarjuna, Vijayashanti starrer Janaki Ramudu and Chiranjeevi’s Kondaveeti Raja were few such films. Kaliyuga Pandavulu is a fine example of rise of angry young man, who fights against the atrocities in the society and Raghavendra Rao, who had been dabbling with family dramas and mass entertainers till then, shifted his focus to a more urban milieu. Krishnam Raju starrer Trishulam and Krishna starrer Agni Parvatham are two other such films which depicted people fighting against atrocities. The year 1990 holds a lot of significance in K Raghavendra Rao and Chiranjeevi’s career. The two had joined hands for Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari, a fantasy film which would stand the test of time and needless to say, everything about this film became popular. It was one of the iconic moments in the history of Telugu cinema.
He twice saved the film career of Sridevi. When her first starring role in the Telugu film Anuragalu (1975) flopped, K. Raghavendra Rao cast her in the hit film Padaharella Vayasu (1978), which made her a star in Telugu films.

Story Ramudu (Ramarao) is an innocent young man in the guardianship of his uncle Panakala Rao (Rajanala), who is both crooked and wicked. The uncle is ready to usurp the property of his nephew Ramudu, and is just waiting for an appropriate opportunity. In the meanwhile, he is made to attend to all the domestic chores. Ramudu, unable to bear the torture, runs away from home. Bheema Rao (Bheemudu) is interested in staging plays which his mother strongly disapproves. After he comes back home from a stage play, he is taken to task by his mother. In order to escape the wrath of his mother, Bheemudu flees his home and lands in the nearby city.
Both of them enter the same hotel and unexpectedly interchange their places. Thus Ramudu entering the house of Bheemudu, falls in love with Santhi and Bheemudu, who now takes the place of Ramudu falls in love with Leela. Bheemudu, who is in the place of Ramudu, now understands that he has to bring Panakala Rao to senses so that the property that really belongs to Ramudu, should be restored to him. Ramudu, now in the role of Bheemudu, starts enjoying the love and affection of the new family members. However, Panakala Rao comes to know of this change of places and attempts to take advantage of this situation. At the end Ramudu and Bheemudu turn out to be twins who got separated during the Godavari Pushkarams. All ends well in the film ending with Ramudu tying the knot with Santhi and Bheemudu with Leela.
Ramudu-Bheemudu was remade in Hindi as ‘Ram Aur Shyam’ by Vijaya Pictures, with Dilip Kumar, Waheeda Rehman and Mumtaz. This picture totally changed the ‘tragedy king’ image of Dilip Kumar and gave him a new image.

Q) Why have you chosen to remake a film like Kahaani ? Basically, it was not my idea. When the producers approached me to direct this film, even I was apprehensive. After seeing their conviction, and the current scenario in India, I decided to go ahead with this film. Q) Why did you choose Nayanthara as the lead. Did you consider any one else ? We selected her because of her popularity in both languages. Names like Anushka, Anjali and some other new faces were also considered, but we went ahead with Nayanthara. Q) Coming to Nayanthara, Why is she not promoting the film ? I don’t have much say about her promotional activities. I thought promotion would never be a problem, as some huge corporate houses were involved. But now her absence itself is creating a lot of buzz for the film.

Q) Why did you take the help of Yendamuri for this film ? I always wanted to work with Yendamuri from a long time. When I decided to make this thriller, the first name which came to my mind was him. He is a master of thrillers, and was the right person for our guidance. Q) You have gone without the pregnancy factor, which was the biggest USP of the original. Any particular reason for this ? Every one knew about the suspense factor from Kahaani. I deliberately went without it, so that I could bring out more emotions with a normal person who is in problems. Q) You have always worked with new comers. How was it working with Keeravani ? I had a great time working with Keeravani on this film. He has given some great music, which is a big plus for the film. Q) Anamika is a completely new genre from your films. Did you find it tough ? The writing was a bit tough. Once I was done with the main script, I had no problems with the film. You can get to see a two hour high voltage thriller in Anamika. Q) What about the Tamil version. How are things going on for the release ? Things look equally good for the Tamil version. It is getting a much bigger release in Tamil Nadu, and the hype surrounding the film is quite good. Q) If you can recollect, all you films have been releasing with mega family hero films. Any particular reasons for this ? Laughs ! I have not thought about that any time. But this time, I know that Kotta Janta is releasing with my film. It is just a co-incidence and was never planned. Q) What are your future projects ? Once I am done with Anamika, I will be making the Happy Days Hindi remake. Salman khan is co-producing the film. Q) Finally why should people watch Anamika when everyone has seen the original ? According to me, most of the common public has not watched Kahaani. The essence of the film is same, but the way I have executed in Telugu nativity, makes it interesting. Five minutes into my film, you will never remember Kahaani.
