Welcome to Hammond!
Whether you’re a longtime Skyhawk supporter or visiting our campus for the first time, we are delighted to have you at Edens Stadium. The 2024-2025 school year promises another year of academic excellence, thrilling athletic competition, and outstanding arts performances. We look forward to continuing our tradition of excellence in all our endeavors.
Hammond’s experience extends beyond academics with co-curricular activities that cultivate curiosity, uncover talents, and foster lifelong learning. As we begin our 59th fall season, we proudly celebrate 159 state championships—an impressive feat for our relatively young school. This athletic success helpsnurture a deep sense of loyalty within our community that spans generations.
Winning games is important, but the life lessons in teamwork, commitment, discipline, and perseverance learned on the playing field are invaluable. Our goal is to build champions both on and off the field, shaping young people of character prepared for the future.
Thank you for supporting our student-athletes. Your presence and positive sportsmanship contribute to the spirit of Hammond. I am honored to be a part of this community and wish every Skyhawk team the best of luck!
Go Skyhawks!

Dear Skyhawk Nation,
On behalf of Hammond Athletics, members of the Skyhawk Club Board, and the countless student-athletes on the field and court, welcome to the 2024-2025 school year and another great year of Skyhawk athletics. We are excited to begin what promises to be an exciting year filled with determination, teamwork, and the relentless spirit that defines a Skyhawk.
To our fans, your unwavering support is the heartbeat of our program. Your cheers from the stands and on the sidelines, your presence at games, whether as a spectator or volunteer, you inspire and encourage our athletes. Your dedication is the foundation of our success, and we are grateful for your support—whether that means cheering the Skyhawks to victory, purchasing a sports program ad, or joining the Skyhawk Club. We are grateful for your support.
Athletic Department
To our players, your hard work, discipline, and commitment to excellence set the standard for Hammond. Wearing the Skyhawk uniform is an honor, and you exemplify the values of sportsmanship and perseverance. As you take to the field, remember that you represent not just yourselves, but your teammates, your coaches, and the entire school community.
Let’s make this season one to remember. Whether we’re celebrating victories or learning from challenges, let’s do it together as Skyhawks, always striving for excellence.
Go Skyhawks!

Skyhawk Welcome
Dear Skyhawk Fans and Visiting Guests,
This year marks the 59th season of athletics at Hammond, a remarkable milestone for our relatively young school. We are proud to have built an impressive record of state championship wins and achieved a level of athletic participation that sets us apart. Nearly 95% of our students, from grades 6 through 12, participate in one or more sports each year. With an overall record of 159 state championship wins, we take pride in our excellence across all facets of the Hammond experience.
At Hammond, we are dedicated to fostering the intellectual, physical, social, and moral growth of each student, offering numerous opportunities for personal development. While academics are the foundation of our program, we believe athletics play a crucial role in helping students excel not only on the field but also in the classroom and in life.
We are pleased to have you with us and appreciate your support for our student-athletes.
Go Skyhawks!
