eather in Bloomington can be so variable over short periods of time that the Hoosier adage still holds true: "If you don't like the weather, just wait a few minutes - it'll change."
Bloomington's average annual temperature range from 53 oF to 55 oF. Of course that doesn't tell you what to expect in mid-winter or summer. In January expect night temperatures to average about 17 oF to 19 oF, with days warming to 36 oF to 38 oF. In summer, it can swelter. Evenings may cool to 63 oF to 64 oF degrees, but daytime temperatures are typically a humid 87 oF to 88 oF and often reach into the mid-90's. Monroe County averages about 45 inches of total precipitation annually, but that can vary by several inches in either direction. Our average winter snowfall over the past century was 22 inches, but usually has been less the past decade or so.

The menu offers a variety of sandwiches and burgers, pizza and stroms. They have specialty dinners including steak, chicken and pizza. THE TROJAN HORSE 100 East Kirkwood Avenue
(812) 332-1101
The Trojan Horse Restaurant and Tavern has been a cornerstone of Bloomington since 1978. Almost as famous as the gyros and falafels is the view for the passers-by of the lamb and beef being carved on the spit. The "public view" kitchen was designed to give the same feel as the traditional Greek sandwich shops in Chicago, but The Trojan Horse still maintains Bloomington's small town, courthouse square atmosphere. Stop in for all your Greek and American favorites.
