Station Square is undergoing a thorough renovations sparked by a reimagining of the historic Freight House Shops. Station Square is being transformed into a vibrant gathering space in which visitors and community members will meet, visit, learn and do business. The exciting renovations will create a medical training school for the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and feature chef-inspired eateries occupying 70,000 square feet between the Freight House and Commerce Court. Designing spaces with high ceilings will reveal a unique glimpse of the Freight House’s original architecture and serve as a tribute to the structure’s industrial roots. Planned improvements will create an innovative hub for collaboration that will serve as a catalyst for the continued growth of the region.
