INSTRUCTOR: WORKOUT TEMPS NANNETTE VIDES
Cardio: Low to medium impact. This is for active, “seasoned” adults who are looking for a modified Zumba® class that recreates the original moves, world music and fun dance fitness you love at a lower intensity. The design of the class introduces easy-to-follow Zumba® choreography that focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination.
Yoga Iyengar
AGES 18 & UP INSTRUC TOR: JEANNE DOWELL
This program focused on strength, stamina, and balance as we age. This was yoga from a physician viewpoint which was another high point for Jeanne. Jeanne said, “What sets the Iyengar method apart is the focus on alignment and safety and is often referred to as “THE AGE REVERSING FORM of exercise.” Excellent for those with arthritis, chronic back and neck problems. Class ends with meditation and relaxation. All levels are welcome! Group and private lessons available. You are welcome to take a class for a week to see if it is a good fit. Jeanne is a former instructor under the US Olympic committee, pioneer of the yoga movement in Lamorinda. She has studied yoga with the Iyengar’s at the Iyengar institute in Pune, India and through the world, and has also studied “yoga for healthy aging,” a new program under Baxter Bell, MD. Questions? Gentle Yoga Flow
AGES 18 & UP INSTRUC TOR: VALORIE MOORE NEW! Join Valorie for this energizing Vinyasa flow class that unites the whole person: body, mind and energy. We will challenge the body with a physical full body practice that focuses on varying muscle groups and works toward peak postures. Classes may contain breathwork, asana (poses), and some meditation.

Develop confidence, coordination, and balance and learn how to defeat a larger and stronger attacker by using that person’s own energy and strength against them. Program teaches practical self-defense (not fighting) through games, friendly competition, and discipline, as well as escaping, grappling, and throwing techniques. One of the most versatile and effective methods of unarmed self-defense, Aiki-jujitsu is the basis for many martial arts systems found today.

Ukulele Roots Jam

INSTRUC TOR: ALLAN DODGE
Come and learn to play traditional ukulele music of the 20’s and 30’s, including Hawaiian, Tin Pan Alley, blues, and period novelty songs. Learn chords and strumming by playing and singing along with other players in a supportive environment. The class offers something for students at all skill levels. A basic knowledge of ukulele chords is recommended. A Ukulele is required. Extra help is available for new students.
