Aims: For students to analyse a range of UK magazines using technical language and to produce the front cover of a new magazine Objectives: By the end of the scheme of learning students should be able to: • Write about the typical codes and conventions of the genre of the front covers of a range of magazines; • Show technical understanding of aspects of media language; • Use and apply technical terms; • Say something about representation; • Consider the effect the covers have on the audience • Produce the front cover of a new magazine • Complete an evaluative report on the new magazine.
