Dear American Canyon Community,
As 2024 comes to a close, I want to take a moment to reflect on this past year and express my gratitude for the incredible community we serve. The unwavering support and trust you place in the American Canyon Fire Protection District inspire us daily to deliver our best.
This year, we saw a continued increase in our call volume, reflecting the growing needs of our vibrant community. Despite these demands, our team accomplished significant milestones, which we will highlight in our upcoming annual report. These achievements mark progress, but we remain focused on striving toward the goals outlined in our Master Plan for 2025. Together, we aim to set new landmarks that will enhance our service and preparedness.
Our crews continue to train rigorously, ensuring that they uphold the highest standards of care and service for American Canyon. I am proud of their unwavering dedication and commitment to excellence. Additionally, the American Canyon Community Emergency Response Team (ACCERT) has stood ready to assist during emergencies, exemplifying the spirit of community resilience. We are also deeply grateful for the steadfast support of our Fire Board, which helps guide and sustain our efforts.
As your Fire Chief, I am honored to work alongside such a dedicated staff and to serve the residents of American Canyon. On behalf of everyone at the American Canyon Fire Protection District, I wish you and your loved ones a safe and prosperous 2025. Thank you for allowing us the privilege of serving this extraordinary community.

The American Canyon Fire Protection District, in collaboration with other Napa County public agencies, proudly participated in the "Adopt from the Napa County Animal Shelter" campaign for the third consecutive year. This initiative aims to find shelter animals their "fur-ever" homes during the month of December.
As of December 31, almost 100 animals have been adopted! While the campaign included a friendly competition among various agencies, the shared goal was to help these animals find loving homes. We are grateful to everyone who supported our efforts by liking, sharing, and engaging with our posts. Thank you for helping make a difference!

Each year, the American Canyon Fire Protection District proudly serves as a collection point for the Toys for Tots program, in partnership with the American Canyon Family Resource Center and the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program. This year, thanks to your generosity, we collected over 750 toys, bringing holiday joy to over 300 children in our community.
Donation bins were placed at over a dozen locations throughout the District, and the stories we’ve witnessed and shared are truly heartwarming. We’ve seen the incredible kindness of the American Canyon community in action, uniting people of all ages, economic backgrounds, races, and beliefs. Your support continues to inspire us, and we’re grateful to be part of such a compassionate and giving community. Thank you for making this year’s Toys for Tots program a success!

2024 ACCERT
As 2024 comes to a close, we extend our heartfelt thanks to the many agencies we’ve trained with this year, including AMR, Cal Fire, Bureau of Reclamation Rangers, Napa County Sheriff’s Department, Napa County Office of Emergency Services, NSO Search & Rescue, Napa CART, Napa City CERT, Napa Valley CERT, Berryessa CERT, Calistoga CERT, CERT Del Valle, and, of course, the American Canyon Fire Protection District.
We are especially grateful for ACFPD’s sponsorship and unwavering support of the CERT program. ACCERT is honored to serve the community and support first responders whenever needed.
Remember to Be Prepared and Plan Ahead in the event of a disaster. One way to get started is by taking the 3-day Basic CERT class, beginning January 11. For more information, email napacert@aol.com.
Wishing you a happy and safe holiday season!

The American Canyon Fire Protection District (ACFPD) Fire Explorers had a busy December with two engaging drills designed to enhance their skills and readiness.
December 15th Drill: Emergency Rescue. The first drill focused on emergency rescue operations. Explorers practiced rescuing fellow firefighters and performing emergency extractions, emphasizing teamwork, communication, determination, and grit. They also worked on their Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) profiles, adjusting their packs to maintain a steady air supply while maneuvering through confined spaces—a critical skill for high-risk rescue operations.
December 22nd Drill: Interview and Resume Building. The second drill provided practical training in interview techniques and resume building. These activities help prepare Explorers for careers in the fire service and equip them with valuable real-world work experience. One Explorer shared, "With the practice I received from ACFPD, I recently interviewed for a position and was hired on the spot."
ACFPD is proud to support the growth and development of our Fire Explorers as they build skills and confidence for their future.
