RAIN OR SHINE, LET'S PLAY!

COMMUNITY EVENTS

A MESSAGE FROM OUR RECREATION MANAGER Wow! What an eventful Fall season! We had so much to celebrate!

AQUATICS

This Fall we experienced some amazing activities, including Kidz Love Soccer, a program that provides soccer instruction to participants ages 2-10. This program operated at or near maximum capacity the entire season. Our Forever Young Fitness and Active Adult Yoga classes experienced their highest levels of participation yet! Finally, our S’mores and Meteors event held at the Wetlands Edge Trailhead attracted well over 400 stargazing enthusiasts! We enjoyed an evening of shooting stars, planet spotting, and (of course) delicious s'mores.

YOUTH SPORTS

You will notice that this edition of The Playbook is filled with many special events that provide fun and memorable experiences for people of all ages. Magic of the Season festivities are right around the corner! Events honoring the season will include the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, 5/10K Reindeer Run, I-Spy Contest, Holiday Home Decor Contest, Santa Sleigh Visits, and the hugely popular Snow Day event! Watch our Facebook page and website for additional information: www.cityofamericancanyon.org/magicoftheseason.

CREATIVE EXPLORATION

The Spring Celebration will take place in March around the same time as the Spring Solstice. This event will feature a chalk art contest, activities for toddlers, egg hunts for participants ages 4 and up, and much more! Visit page 6 for a sneak peak of what this day will have in store for you!

ACTIVE ADULTS

Your Parks and Recreation Department team is constantly striving to develop and deliver programs and events that meet our vision — We inspire fun; together we create community! To help us, we ask that you please complete and submit our program and event surveys. Your feedback and input is extremely important to us. We use the data to make necessary changes and enhancements to our programs so as to ensure that we are meeting your needs. We are looking forward to a season filled with lots of fun and excitement and hope you are, too!
