Bartlett Parks and Recreation Athletics

The Bartlett Parks and Recreation Department offers team and individual sign-ups for youth sports and team sign-ups for adult sports.

Ball field permits and tennis court reservations: Call 901-385-5599, or visit the Athletic Office, Monday - Friday from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. Permits for the upcoming week (Monday – Sunday) will start at 1:00 p.m. on Friday prior to the week the permit is needed.

PERMIT REQUESTS ARE ACCEPTED ONLY AFTER 1:00 P.M. MONDAY–FRIDAY.

PERMITS WILL NOT BE FAXED or E-MAILED.

General Information

As we look forward to the season with practices and games, BPRD will do all we can to provide a safe environment for our players, spectators and staff. However, we are unable to completely safeguard each and every aspect of this situation.

Ultimately, the decision to participate or not participate is solely in the hands of each participant/parent, and each must decide for themselves what is in the best interest of their family.

Pickleball Courts

This beautiful new facility has been designed by DALHOFF THOMAS design studio and represents the City of Bartlett's first dedicated outdoor pickleball facility. The complex has six lighted courts for public use and is located at Shadowlawn Park which is adjacent to the Bartlett Ninth Grade Academy at 4734 Shadowlawn Road.

Vision

This facility will be recognized as one of the premier outdoor pickleball facilities in the Greater-Memphis area. Use of the courts will be managed by the Athletics Division of the Parks & Recreation Department in order to best serve the growing demand for access to pickleball facilities by Bartlett citizens. Court usage will be scheduled to include a balance of open play opportunities, clinics, special events, professional lessons**, and tournaments.

**Professional lessons will only be permitted by accredited teaching professionals who have been approved and authorized by the City of Bartlett as contracted instructors. Anyone who desires to become a contract instructor for the City of Bartlett may contact Parks Administration at 901-385-5590.

Basketball

Youth Basketball Individual Sign-Ups

NYSCA Coaches Certification Training

NYSCA certification is required of all those wishing to coach in Bartlett youth sports programs. This training is for first-year coaches only. Renewals for previously certified coaches may be done at the Athletic Office. For more information or to RSVP, contact Keith Richardson at 901-385-5599.
