GEO-CACHING
Town Square Park Shelter
Geo-caching is initiated by an individual hiding a cache, normally a waterproof container with small items inside, then recording the location with a GPS Unit. The cache may be in a hollow log or under an object. The individual then posts the GPS coordinates, along with a description of the cache on a web site: geocaching.com. Other individuals try to find the cache. When it is located, they sign a log book and take or leave a small item. They also post their find on the log book at geocaching.com. Blaine Parks and Recreation has GPS Units for one day or weekend use. See rental form at blaineparks.com or come to the office for details and rules. Copy of driver’s license is required. Recommended geo-caching locations include: • Pioneer, Lochness, Laddie Lake, Trees Edge • Kane Meadows, Hidden Ponds, West Lake • Open Space South Lake Blvd. & Naples Circle Visit blaineparks.com for geocaching policies.

THE CHURCH BASEMENT LADIES
at the Plymouth Playhouse
We’re bringing the original back to celebrate ten years of laughter, toe-tapping music and touching memories that will once again make you laugh and cry all the way home. From Pioneer Press Writer, Kathy Berdan - The Church Basement Ladies is based on the popular “Growing Up Lutheran” books by Minnesota authors Janet Letnes Martin and Suzann Nelson. “Church Basement Ladies” is set in 1964 in the fictional town of East Cornucopia, Minn. The story, written by Jessica Zuehlke and Jim Stowell, follows a quartet of women and their pastor as they dish on and dish out to their church community through weddings, funerals and crises like (gasp!) interfaith marriage. The tunes in the musical poke fun at menopause, the differences between Catholics and Lutherans (“They glorified Mary / We glorified rice”) and that place of sin and debauchery known as “The Cities.” Lunch included prior to the show. Register by October 13.
