Music Together is an award-winning, internationally acclaimed early childhood music and movement program for children from birth to kindergarten and the grown ups who love them. In class, you will dance, sing, play rhythm instruments and share 45 minutes of pure fun with your child each week for eight weeks while supporting your child or children’s cognitive, verbal, physical, emotional, social AND music development. Families receive CDs and songbooks of the session’s song collection so the fun and learning continues at home. The cost for these materials is included in the tuition. All classes are mixed-age, so siblings can participate together. Infants under eight months on the first day of the session are free with a paying sibling. The cut off birth date for infant siblings to be free of charge is October 23, 2018. Infants are welcomed in class and when registered as the only child in a family, pay the full tuition. Visit a FREE demo class before the summer session to learn more about the program. For more information or specific questions about the classes, call or email Director Clarice Wilson, Ph.D. at 651-439-4219, or Clarice@MusicTogetherClasses.com, or visit MusicTogetherClasses.org.

Beginning Salsa, Merengue and Bachata Ballet Salsa is a fast, sexy and fun dance. It is also extremely popular. You can find a club to Salsa dance most every night of the week. It has origins in Cuba and Puerto Rico, but has many influences from around the world including New York’s 1970’s disco scene. Merengue is the National dance of the Dominican Republic. It is an easy dance with very brisk, quick steps and hip action. There are several theories as to the origins of the dance, one of which is that the Dominican people honoring a wounded war hero danced with a limp. Bachata also has its origins in the Dominican Republic. It is danced widely all over the world but with many varying styles. The music is romantic with prominent acoustic guitar. In this class we will work on the basics and add fun patterns to all three dances, with the focus on Salsa. Max 15.
