A University Centre for south Bristol
City of Bristol College and UWE Bristol are working to increase Bristol residents progression to, and participation in Higher Education.
The two institutions are discussing exciting plans to develop a University Centre in south Bristol. The new University Centre will be hosted by the college’s South Bristol Skills Academy in Hengrove Park.
The partnership between the two institutions will extend the city’s Higher Education footprint to south Bristol and enable access to degree level study options which align with the city region’s skills and workforce demands. Programmes developed in conjunction with the city’s anchor employers will secure learning of the most up-to-date skills, knowledge and understanding, and therefore future-proofing students’ careers and employment ambitions.
The biggest support was from my tutor. If I didn’t have her I would never have come as far as I have. Everyone at the college was really supportive!
