Our partnerships with organisations including DAF Trucks, Bristol City Council, Smurfit Kapper, Magnox, BrunelCare, Petit Forestier, University of Bristol, and University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust mean our students have the opportunity to undertake apprenticeships with the biggest employers in their sector. Through a combination of on-the-job training and learning at college students gain sector knowledge, real-world experience, and maybe even a career with an industry giant!

My teachers are very helpful and they offer a lot of opportunities outside of College, like work experience and even jobs. Studying at City of Bristol College helped me improve my knowledge and skills, which will help me to get the best job possible. I have learned to build my confidence and do things I would not have been able to do before.

Course types and levels to suit everyone

Whether you’ve set your sights on university, want to earn while you learn with an apprenticeship, or are ready to start training for your dream career, we offer a range of course types and levels to suit everyone. Many courses are offered at different levels, and many can be full-time or part-time, to make sure learning with us works for you.

Progress to our University Centre

You don’t have to go to university to get a degree – you can stay with us! Our University Centre lets you study a higher education course with small class sizes, affordable fees and specialist lecturers. You can find out more about our HE courses on page 88.

Our students are successful! Our Further Education pass rate for 2020/21 was 94%,

with 96% of students

agreeing that their teachers

gave them good support.

Most of our students progress to university-level education or apprenticeships once they finish their course, too.
